Anyone who knows me in real life knows that I suffer from absolutely horrific allergies. I’m allergic to dust, pollens, pets, and pretty much every other airborne allergen known to man. On a bad allergy day, I am basically a Zombie. I get itchy, watery eyes, a nose that runs like a hot water faucet, stuffy brain syndrome, zillions of sneezes, and don’t get me started on sinus pain and pressure. Ugh. If my allergies are flaring up enough, I am pretty much down for the count the entire day. It really does get in the way of enjoying life. 

We are a multiple pet household, and also happen to live in one of the 35 Sneeziest and Wheeziest Cities in the United States. (This is calculated by pollen counts, etc.) So obviously, I have to be very proactive when it comes to keeping my allergies at bay.

We have really been loving this air purifier. A lot. In fact, since we started using it, I am waking up with the ability to breathe. Normally in the morning, I start sneezing from the moment I wake up, and these attacks last about an hour. It is miserable. Thanks to the Honeywell QuietClean Air Purifier, I am breathing in far fewer allergens, which allows me to breathe easier. Gotta love that! 

This unit is easy as pie to operate. It has 3 different cleaning settings, all of which are whisper quiet. On the strongest setting, you hear a soft hum. It’s not annoying or overpowering, though. (This is a huge plus!) You can also set the unit to oscillate, provided the best performance for large rooms. 

But the best part? The filters. For one, they’re washable. You don’t have to run out and purchase insanely priced replacements every month or so. These babies can be cleaned of any gunk and reused. There is also an optional odor and VOC reducing filter. I can tell you, this truly does reduce odors. We have several pets, as well as a stinky teen boy. Our house can smell pretty funky at times. We have noticed a very marked reduction in any typical household odors we would normally encounter. 

We have been using this for a few weeks now, and I was amazed to open up the unit and see how much ickiness was pulled out of our air. I was impressed and absolutely disgusted at the same time. Check out that nasty dander and God knows what else that was in my air. Gah-Rossss. After seeing this, I am never, ever going to go through life without using an air purifier in my home.
