We Will Be Celebrating Our #EveryDayMoments With Taylor Swift and AMEX In Cleveland Plus GIVEAWAY #IC #AD

As the busy mom of 3 amazing kids, sometimes it’s easy to get lost in the shuffle of everyday life. There are countless meals to prepare, messes to clean up, and of course, boo-boo’s to make all better. Being a mom is a tough job, and the demands are endless. It’s definitely easy to see how special moments can get lost in the chaotic nature of family life! Thankfully, if we’re mindful of this, we can choose to make everyday moments into extraordinary memories. 

Now that school is letting out and summer is here, it’s time to start creating some magical moments with your own family! What better time, right? The sun is shining, the weather is no longer reminiscent of something out of “Frozen”, and there’s plenty of fun to be found, whether it be a trip to the park, swimming, or even the concert of a lifetime. (TAYLOR SWIFT, people!)

We will be celebrating here in Cleveland, thanks to the generous folks at Amex and Influence Central. We will be attending Taylor Swift’s 1989 World Tour at the Quicken Loans Arena. (Locals affectionately call it “The Q”.) 

I will be going with my husband, my 5 year old, Sophie, and my 15 year old, Kyle. Xander will be spending time at my cousin’s house, playing with her kids. After all, he’s only 4 and doesn’t have any real interest in a loud music venue just yet. 

I am SO excited about this show, for a variety of reasons. For one, I have heard from many, many friends that Taylor Swift puts on a phenomenal show. We have been checking out YouTube videos from the 1989 World Tour, and I have been blown away by the fun, fearless energy Taylor exudes from the stage. I just can’t wait to experience this in person with my family! 

Also, this will be both Kyle and Sophie’s first concert. We call Sophie our little “Musician”. She may only be 5, but this girl has been grooving since she was in the womb. Literally. When I was pregnant, she would “dance” to The Beatles in my belly. It had to be The Beatles, though. If the music changed, she would stop. Today at the tender age of 5, Sophie loves to sing and dance, and she even has her very own professional keyboard and both acoustic and electric guitars. Hmm….Perhaps we have a mini-Taylor in the making? 

But the reason I am MOST excited about this show is because of my teenager, Kyle. Kyle is 15, and he is the biggest Taylor Swift fan I know. Don’t believe me? Come to my house while he’s in the shower. We have a tin ceiling in our kitchen, which happens to be right below the main bathroom. Sound travels. We get to hear him belt out Taylor Swift tunes on a daily basis. Lately, his favorite seems to be “Bad Blood”. 

This will be Kyle’s first concert, and he truly deserves to have an amazing time. He has worked his tail off in school, and has been a consistent honor roll student. He has also maintained a very kind and caring nature, despite the fact that he is bullied regularly because of his sexual orientation. What could easily result in depression or rebelling has become a challenge for Kyle. Rather than buying into what the haters say, he chooses to be the bigger person and just “Shake It Off”. Even when the world isn’t so kind to him, he chooses to have a big heart and always be willing to be there for anyone who may need a friend. We couldn’t be more proud of him. 

When we told Kyle he would be seeing Taylor Swift LIVE, he was thrilled. When we showed him how AMAZING our seats are, there may have been a little Happy Dance action going on here. Not kidding. I may have even participated in this, even though I am not known for my dance moves. 

We feel very honored to have been chosen for this fun opportunity, and we plan to make this experience as special as possible. After all, what’s better than good tunes, good company, and memories that will last a lifetime?
