Oink, Oink, everyone!

I have some very exciting news to share with you! On April 4th, we attended Peppa Pig LIVE! Peppa Pig’s Big Splash at the gorgeous, historic Akron Civic Theater in Akron, Ohio.

Peppa Pig’s Big Splash is an action-packed live show, based on the popular Peppa Pig television series, designed to deliver to preschoolers and young fans an unforgettable first live theater experience. A fully immersive musical production featuring a dozen familiar and original songs, as well as an interactive sing-a-long, the live stage show will have fans laughing, singing, dancing and of course jumping in muddy puddles too – just like Peppa.

The Akron Civic Theater is just a few minutes away from us in downtown Akron. This area is rich with the arts, and definitely a very neat place to visit. This theater is actually a historic property, and is breathtakingly beautiful inside. It actually reminds me a lot of the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood, California. What better place to have some Peppa Pig fun?!

When we arrived at the theater, Sophie and Xander were blown away not only by their fabulous surroundings, but also by all of the other kids decked out in their favorite Peppa Pig apparel!

We had VIP passes, which was a wonderful treat. This gave us seats that were incredibly close to the stage, and access to the Peppa Pig after-party, too! More about that later, though.

The crowd roared with excitement when Daisy, Peppa, George, and the rest of the gang hit the stage.

One thing I thought was really neat is the fact that Peppa and her pals are actually life-sized puppets, manned by very talented puppeteers. It was so fun to watch them perform!

The show was about 60 minutes long, and it included a 15 minute intermission to grab snacks or head to the potty. This is the perfect length for smaller children who may become over-stimulated by longer events.

The performance itself was loads of fun, and included lots of song and dance, as well as interactive aspects that allowed the audience to participate in the story. There was singing, shouting, jumping, and more. Sophie and Xander had an absolute blast!

After the show, we were geared up and ready to party with Peppa Pig!

There was a separate room set up in the upstairs portion of the Akron Civic Theater, and it was decorated with loads of Peppa Pig products. There were balloons, hula hoops, hopscotch, and even a craft station! They also served juice pouches and cookies!

The best part, though?

That would have to be meeting Daisy, Peppa, and George!

The kids got to chat with them, and even got their photo taken with the stars of the show. How cool is that?!

Overall, we really enjoyed seeing Peppa Pig’s Big Splash live at the Akron Civic Theater. The kids were thrilled to see their favorite characters come to life, and we loved seeing the kids so excited.
