We really enjoyed this journey back in time to see how Gru and the Minions came together to form the team we have all known and loved for many years now. The much younger Gru was a hoot to see, and the Minions have all the charm and silly antics we have come to expect from these little, yellow dudes. 

Watch as Gru takes on an important quest and learns how to hold his own when he’s rejected by the “cool Villains on the block.” I won’t say what happens, but there are some fun plot twists and giggles involved as Gru and the Minions work together to prove their worthiness to the Vicious Six. 

The movie was fast paced, entertaining, and great for the whole family. There wasn’t anything offensive or over the top, so this movie is just fine even for younger kids. 

If you love the Minions, and who doesn’t, definitely check out this awesome movie! It will give a whole new appreciation for this franchise as it tells the long awaited origin story.
