How To Produce More Food Than You Can Eat In A Small Space (Video)

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

As growing fuel prices continue to escalate, the cost of everything goes up.  The droughts and floodings have also aided in limiting food production and thus, we are seeing food prices rise.  But what if you could grow enough food for your family and then some?  What if you could do this without having a large plot of land?  Well, you can!

City Prepping recently produced a short video demonstrating just how you can do just this!

I previously reported on a family in downtown LA that produced more than 6,000 pounds of food a year.  Check it out!

Over 6,000 pounds of food per year, on 1/10 acre located just 15 minutes from downtown Los Angeles. The Dervaes family grows over 400 species of plants, 4,300 pounds of vegetable food, 900 chicken and 1,000 duck eggs, 25 lbs of honey, plus seasonal fruits throughout the year.

From 1/10th of an acre, four people manage to get over 90% of their daily food and the family reports earnings of $20,000 per year (AFTER they eat from what is produced). This is done without the use of the expensive & destructive synthetic chemicals associated with industrial mono-cropping, while simultaneously improving the fertility and overall condition of the land being used to grow this food on. Scaled up to an acre, that would equal $200,000 per year!

To follow the Dervaes and their Urban Homesteading activites, you can find them at http://urbanhomestead.org

Urban and near-urban farming can be highly productive, causing whatever size of land you have to work with to produce with more abundance. It is time to solve hunger worldwide, through creating local food abundance…. Anyone can do it, once you learn how.

Additionally, I interviewed Jim Gale of Food Forest Abundance about how he helps people map out just how to use the limited space they may have to produce this bountiful harvest for themselves and those in their community.

We must be self-sufficient, relying upon our Creator, in order to be free and one of the pillars of true liberty is to be able to produce our own food.

These are great articles Tim Brown. Article that can actually help people secure their futures. I’m off grid, dehydrating and canning tomatoes as I write this.

100 lbs of potatoes dehydrated last week, 100 lbs of tomatoes to do this week and a bushel basket of green beans. Busy living the dream.

Life is so simple, people make their lives hard, very hard and people’s lives are about to get even harder now…. Keep these coming… Very helpful information…

P.S. Best get everything for next years garden right now, next year may not be as rosey as you have it right now.

How do you use a rocket-stove to keep your house warm? I’m interested.

Try doing this kind of stuff in parts of the UK where the land is all stolen and health and safety, planning and all sorts of other busy body useless goons stop you doing anything that could lead to some sort of freedom. Of course you can buy it off the thieves and pay a continuous tithe which then requires a lifetime involvement in their bollocks.

Build a rocket stove here and watch what happens. Life is simple. Unfortunately there is a criminal class that is voted for by the idiot masses who’s main job is to ensure we remain slaves and serve their useless establishment, useless rules and useless ideas.

I would march on London tomorrow and hang them. But nobody else will. So let them starve and go cold, until they will.

We simply must simplify our lives. Our lives are so complex with cars, computers, phones that the EMF’s have poisoned our birds. Nothing can live in this modern day world. In reference to the garden you are depicting, this would be a fulltime job for an entire family. You’d have no time for a job in town. But our lifesyle demands additional income. For a garden like this you need lots of fertilizer. I don’t think manure would do this. First you have to buy a big place like that. We need to change our thinking.
