"19 Kids and Counting" Recap: Happy Birthday Joy-Anna!

Celebrations! Only one episode of Duggar Nation this week – and yes, I delivered every one of them….sorry, sidetracked.

Another birthday is upon us – Joy-Anna, Duggar #9, turned 13 this week. She’s getting so grown up! Like a little lady. Remember last year when they went rock climbing for her 12th birthday? This year, the Duggars decided on a train ride and ice cream party. And, for many of the kids, it was the first time they’d ridden on a train. Jim Bob did Michelle a solid and stayed home with the youngest girls, Josie and Jordyn, so Michelle could enjoy the beautiful fall leaves of the Ozarks from the train.

Back at the compound, JB had some quality time with the most-adorable Josie. And sweet little Jordyn gathered all the garbage cans and toys in the house and delivered them to her Daddy. So cute.

After the train ride, the Duggars headed to the local ice cream shop for some delicious treats, where they also met up with Josh, Anna and Mackenzie. The Duggars made it home and then my stupid DVR cut off, so that’s the end. Why is this a problem so often? Why can’t shows either fit within their 30-minute time slot, or why can’t the cable company get the times right? I need to know!
