'Last Comic Standing' Finalist Mike DeStefano Dies

Another sad day for Last Comic Standing…

News just broke that last year’s 4th place finisher, Mike DeStefano has died of an apparent heart attack. He had just finished up a run of shows called Drugs, Disease, and Death: A Comedy.

The show was based on his own life and experience with HIV, drugs, and his wife’s death. He had been very open about his past drug abuse, and that his stand up career had begun after becoming clean and going into counseling.

So sad. This story is developing… last year Last Comic Standing judge Greg Giraldo also passed away after an overdose of prescription medication.
