I failed to promote my last essay on my own site, which is the result of both busyness and a commitment to rest more, too. That being said, my write-up of The Choir’s most recent record, The Loudest Sound Ever Heard, melds with personal reflection in “The Choir: Children of Krakatoa.”

Also, The Choir recently played a live, streaming concert on the Web to kick off their Kickstarter campaign for a new studio album and a new live album, too. They have already met and exceeded their fundraising goal of $25,000. That being said, feel free to contribute more!
Also, you should definitely download Beau Jennings’ excellent “haunted sports record” under the Night Reports moniker (with Derrick Brown), titled You’re All Out. It’s free at Bandcamp, and it’s a gem. I would say it’s a home run, but with all of the baseball imagery on the album, that would probably be a little too obvious. Download and enjoy, folks.
