Can This Really Be What We Deserve?

And so it is left to Vice-President Joseph R. Biden, a real human being, with real human feelings, to speak the words of consolation to the families of all the innocent black citizens of our country who have been slain by the very police sworn to protect the rights of these Americans. The words that Donald J. Trump, with his long and documented history of racism, can not find within him to utter even if he did search for them. There is no room for words such as these in his tortured mind. A mind which is solely wracked with the fever of acquiring more wealth and being re-elected. Because Donald J. Trump is a man who, although as he has told us that he has all the answers, never, ever, asks any of the questions. Not the ones that matter to anyone else anyway.

Trump, who suffers from resting dullard face – which accurately reflects what is going on inside his vast reservoir of emptiness – as chronicled by many, has a long history of racism beginning with his company’s practice of turning away potential black tenants – an overt discrimination practiced by the father and continued by the son. This is a person who took out ads calling for the calling for the execution of five young black and Latino men accused of rape, who were later shown to be innocent. And even after their exoneration he still continued to say he was not sure of their innocence. This is a person who in preparation of he and his wife’s entrance to Trump’s Castle, in Atlantic City, ordered his bosses to clear the black people off the floor. “Trump’s Castle.” Was there ever a more hilariously pathetic attempt at a self-attribution of the whiff of “nobility” to someone as basely boorish? Growing up in Da Bronx the expression was; “ya can’t shine shit.”

This is a person who, absent any evidence, of any sort, anywhere, charged President Barack Obama with not being born in the United States. And kept repeating the allegation in spite of voluminous proof to the contrary. A person whose presidential campaign was fueled by nativist sentiment directed at nonwhite immigrants. A person who, when people gathered to protest the white supremacists who were sporting swastikas and giving Nazi salutes as they marched onto the University of Virginia’s campus in Charlottesville chanting, “Jews will not replace us” and “Blood and soil, said; “you also had people that were very fine people, on both sides.”

We can wait forever for a monster such as a Donald J. Trump to exhibit any form of sincere human compassion, or even the slightest thought to the sickness that is now raging in this country…and I do not mean the sickness of Covid-19. This is a monster who delights in setting people against people. It is the smokescreen behind which he has set about to destroy whatever remains of what is good in this country, because whatever is good in this country is diametrically opposed to what someone like this wants. Needs. Must have. No matter who must suffer. How many must die. Nowhere is this more apparent than his stubborn refusal to listen to the dozens of warnings given to him in January and recognize the pandemic raging around us because this kind of a headline would hurt the stock market. Hurt his chances at re-election.

In the face of Trump’s mental state a group of 350 psychiatrists and other mental-health professionals have petitioned Congress saying in part: “He is unable to take responsibility for any error, mistake, or failing. His default in that situation is to blame others and to attack the perceived source of his humiliation. These attacks of narcissistic rage can be brutal and destructive.” From this article; White House staff members were concerned about the president’s mental acuity and said he “stumbles, slurs, gets confused, is easily irritated, and has trouble synthesizing information, not occasionally but with regularity.”  And, many health professionals are now questioning Trump’s mental state. This is a sick little boy who we must get rid of in November before his daily temper tantrums bring our entire house down into the mud in which he gleefully wallows.

As I write this, these are just a few of the things the Trump administration is currently doing or attempting to do;

1. The Trump administration is currently trying to kill The Affordable Care Act. In the middle of a pandemic.

2. Trump has trolled us by threatening to end SNAP. And then, backed off. But, he did threaten this heinous act merely in order to dominate a news cycle.  And again, this, in the middle of a pandemic.

3. The Trump administration is presently reversing 100 environmental rules.

4. They are preparing to defy Congress and complete a 478 million dollar deal to sell guided missiles to Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia, the country responsible for 9/11. Oh…and a deal benefiting Trump’s pals the Raytheon Corp. 

5. They are trying to disallow voting by mail in the November election. Again, in the middle of a pandemic.

We are now, all of us, living under the yoke of the single most influential of all the evil, cruel, sick tyrants in all of recorded history. And, if you doubt that, please consider that we now have a mass media that connects everyone here, and almost everyone on the planet, almost instantaneously.

PLEASE…ALWAYS, ALWAYS REMEMBER THIS ONE THING ABOUT THIS PERSON:

WE MUST VOTE THIS SICK MONSTER OUT OF OFFICE – OR WE SHALL REAP THE WHIRLWIND – AND THIS 236 YEAR OLD EXPERIMENT IN DEMOCRACY WILL BE DONE AND US WITH IT.
