CoolPad Note 3 with 3GB RAM, Fingerprint Sensor Launched In India
China-based smartphone manufacturer CoolPad has launched its Note 3 Phablet in the Indian market. The new device packs an incredible set of specs alongside a fingerprint sensor, and will hit the shelves exclusively via Amazon India at Rs. 8,999. The registrations for its first sale scheduled on October 20, 2PM are also currently open on Amazon India.
CoolPad Note 3 was launched in China in late July, and as for specs, the dual-SIM based device featured a 5.5-inch HD IPS display powered up by an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 chipset coupled with 3GB RAM and 16GB of inbuilt memory. It offers viewing angles up to 178 degrees, and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop wiith Cool UI 6.0 on the top loaded with small amount of bloatware. The storage on the new handset is expandable up to a whopping 64GB via micro-SD card.
CoolPad Note 3 features a 13-megapixel rear camera with a bunch of features including LED flash, 5 Element HD lens, and f/2.0 aperture, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with CMOS sensor. It delivers decent image quality under lowlight and daylight conditions, and includes standard connectivity options along with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE, A-GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and micro-USB 2.0. The fingerprint sensor packed with this handset is also said to support 360-degree finger rotation. It offers recognition speeds up to 0.5 seconds, and offers benefits of advanced biometric security.
The new Coolpad Note 3 features a capacity of 3000mAh, and offers a bunch of sensors including compass, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, gravity sensor, and gyroscope. The interface of the handset is really slick, and is enriched with a bunch elements such as multi-window mode, smart gesture, and double tap to wake.
This handset features 3GB of RAM and goes straight against the likes of popular budget players including the new Yu Yureka Plus and Lenovo K3 Note. Apart from battery and processors, both phones boast the same set of specs which includes a 5.5-inch full-HD display, 2GB RAM, 16GB built-in-storage, and Android 5.0 Lollipop. Yu Yureka Plus comes at Rs. 8,999 while K3 Note with a bigger 3000mAh battery comes at slightly higher Rs. 9,999 exclusively via Flipkart.
