World’s First Windows 10 Television Launched in India

Videocon, in a joint partnership with Microsoft, has launched world’s first Windows 10 television in the Indian market. Unleashing a new era of televisions, the new LED from the company comes in two screen-sizes and works as a full-fledged TV as well as a Windows 10 based personal computer.

Dubbed as “One Touch TV, One Touch PC”, the Windows 10 television serves perfectly in both modes, and comes equipped with Microsoft Office for editing documents, Windows Store, and an All Cast app. It roll out officially next month with the 32-inch model starting at Rs. 39,990, while the 40-inch model coming at a slightly higher Rs. 59,990.

With the new Windows 10 powered television, you can now type notes directly on web-pages, and share them through different platforms. It also brings Windows Store aboard, and allows you to install amazing apps and games just through one touch. So, along with standard television entertainment, this TV will give you the best of different social-networks, games, and screen-casting features.

While using this television, one can seamlessly switch between TV and PC mode. As soon as, the TV mode is accessed, it works like an ideal LED television bringing several television channels with best quality. The 40-inch variant of the device comes with full-HD display, and delivers an excellent visual experience with rich colors and better contrasts. It boasts inbuilt Wi-Fi functionality, which automatically connects with available network and smooth and glitch-free internet access. As for specs, it features 2GB of DDR3 RAM, 16GB in-built storage, which extended up to 128 gigs via micro-SD card, and two HDMI ports for better connectivity.

In coming weeks, Videocon will kick start a 360 degree advertising campaign to spread a word about its latest range of television products. The company aims to increase the depth of PC adaption in the country, and has estimated a contribution of 5% to FPD sales with Windows 10 television by next year.

Videocon has been bringing an excellent range of TV products, and according to company’s head of technology and innovation department, Akshay Dhoot, bigger 55-inch and 65-inch variants and a smaller 24-inch variant of this television are likely to come by the end of 2015, after seeing the response from the market.
