After Canvas Blaze 4G, Micromax has listed its successor Canvas Blaze 4G+ with a tempting set of hardware and software specs. The new phone featured on company’s official website looks pretty impressive, but its pricing and availability details are still kept under the wraps.
On the specifications front, the latest beauty from Micromax Canvas Blaze 4G+ looks a little identical to the original Canvas Blaze 4G. It sports a 4.5-inch qHD display, runs Android 5.1 Lollipop, and packs 8 gigs of inbuilt storage, which can be further expanded up to 32GB through micro-SD card.
Micromax Canvas Blaze 4G+ brings a major upgrade into the innards department with a quad-core MediaTek MT6735M SoC replacing the original Snapdragon 210 quad-core chipset. It clocks at 1.0GHz, and pairs up with the same 1GB of RAM and Mali-T720 GPU for seamless work and play. Even the camera setup of the new smartphone features a major upgrade. It includes an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED and a 2-megapxei front-facing snapper.
Along with this, the dual-SIM based device also packs advanced connectivity options including 3G HSPA+, 4G LTE, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.0, microUSB 2.0, and Advanced Global Positioning System. The 4G LTE connectivity of this phone is a lot better than other budget smartphones. It powers up with advanced Cat.4 technology, and promises to deliver blazing download and upload speeds at 150Mbps and 50Mbps.
The power efficiency of this smartphone is backed by a decent 1750mAh battery. It is rated to give up to 5 hours of talk time and 200 hours of standby time, and is a far better choice over other entry level smartphones. However, the battery capacity of this smartphone is a little lesser than the 2000mAh battery of the original Canvas Blaze 4G.
Micromax Canvas Blaze 4G+ features an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor, and is expected to show up at a price tag of Rs. 6,199. It will go against the likes of Xiaomi Redmi 2, and will create some serious complications for leading players in the budget market. In a head to head comparison, Redmi 2 steps looks better than Canvas Blaze 4G+ with its 4.7-inch HD IPS display, Snapdragon 410 quad-core SoC, and a long-lasting 2200mAh battery.
