Moto G Gen 3, Moto G Turbo Edition Prices Slashed

Renowned tech-giant Motorola has surprised all of us by announcing price cuts for its latest budget beauties, Moto G Gen 3 and Moto G Turbo Edition.

Launched earlier in July, the 8GB and 16GB variants of Moto G Gen 3 will come at a reduced price tag of Rs. 9,999 and Rs. 10,999, while the most recent, Moto G Turbo Edition will ship at a tempting price of Rs. 12,499. The prices of all Moto G variants launched last year has been reduced by INR 2,000, which is certainly one of the best deals for smartphone buyers!

It is also important to note that both beauties from Motorola are available exclusively via Flipkart.com, and are bundled the several exchange offers and 4G packages from Airtel. As of now, on exchanging old smartphones, customers can avail a straight discount of Rs. 4,000 on Moto G Gen 3 and Rs. 5,000 on Moto G Turbo Edition.

This price cut is permanently active on Flipkart.com, and is the first price slash from Motorola Moto G (Gen 3) since its launch last year. Few weeks back, limited period discounts were given on the handset, but this first fixed discount for Moto G fans all across the country.

To recall, Moto G (Gen 3) and Moto G Turbo Edition both incorporate an identical set of specs, except for a few tweaks. The highly priced Turbo Edition comes with an Octa-core Snapdragon 615 SoC with Turbo Charging capabilities, while the original Moto G (Gen 3) ships with a quad-core Snapdragon 410 chipset paired with 1/2 GB of RAM. Both phones sport a 5-inch HD IPS display, and pack decent performance with 13MP and 5MP shooters and decent battery performance.

Though Motorola has not revealed any specific reason for giving this price cut, we’re expecting it’s a technique to rule out Lenovo K4 Note. Both phones go head to head, and it will be really interesting to see, what changes will come up when Motorola brings this price cut into effect!

Along with permanent price cuts for Moto G family, Motorola is also offering Limited Period discounts on the 16GB and 32GB variant of Moto X Play. The 16GB variant which was launched at Rs. 18,499 is currently available at Rs. 16,499, while the 32GB variant (priced Rs. 19,999 earlier) is available at Rs. 17,999.
