HTC One S9 With Android 6.0, Mediatek Helio X10 Launched

After seeing HTC 10, we all expected that the Taiwanese giant would drop its “One” moniker, which it has been using for last three years. The flagship, undoubtedly made a big hit, but looks like HTC is still not ready to give up on its mid-ranged “One” series. The company has added a new One series member HTC One S9, and has listed it officially on its German website for EUR 499, which is approximately Rs. 33,700 in Indian currency. It’s availability details were not mentioned on the website.

The new metal-clad handset flaunts an impeccable set of specs with a hard-to-ignore design. It features a metal-clad body and gives reminiscence of the One M9, company’s last year flagship. Except for the change to speaker slits from grille of One M9, everything else looks same in the device, even the camera and sensor placement.

However, the specs bundled with HTC One S9 are a little different. The company has used a 5-inch full-HD Super LCD display in One S9. It gives a nice visual experience with 443 pixels per inch and comes protected with Gorilla Glass 3 for keeping scratches at bay. Under the hood, there’s a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor running at 2GHz, with 2GB RAM and PowerVR G6200 GPU. The storage packed with this device stands at 16GB, but there’s also an option to expand it up to 200GB, using the dedicated microSD card slot!

HTC One S9 gives you the best of Google with Android 6.0 Marshmallow and incorporates an incredibly quick rear and front-facing shooter. The man camera of the device features 13-megapixels with BSI sensor, Optical Image Stabilization, and an aperture as wide as f/2.0. It delivers crisp images in lowlight environments, and is equally well-supported by a 4-ultrapixel fixed focused front-facing snapper with same BSI sensor and aperture size.

As mentioned earlier, there’s no word on the global pricing or availability of this handset. It bears a big 2840 mAh battery, and delivers stand-out performance with a plethora of connectivity options such as, NFC, GPS, 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, and Bluetooth 4.1. The battery is rated to give 13 hours of talk-time and HTC’s iconic BoomSound audio technology with Dolby Audio promises a lifelike audio experience!
