Huawei Honor 5C With Full-HD Display, Cat.6 LTE Launched

China’s renowned phone maker Huawei continues to expand its Honor line of entry level smartphones. The company first unleashed Honor 5X, and now, it is moving ahead with its younger sibling, dubbed Huawei Honor 5C. The smartphone has been launched in Chinese market and has categorized into 3G and 4G avatar priced at CNY 899 (approximately Rs. 9,000) and CNY 999 (approximately Rs. 10,250). The smartphone will eventually show up in global market, but as of now, there’s no word on its official release anywhere outside China.

Huawei Honor 5C specs:

Huawei has given special attention to the design and build quality of its Honor 5C. The device boasts a design that looks very similar to its elder sibling Honor 5X, and flaunts a meticulously crafted metal body with fingerprint scanner on the rear. It boasts a 5.2-inch full-HD IPS LCD display and powers up by company’s proprietary HiSilicon Kirin 650 octa-core processor, with 2GB RAM and 16GB built in storage. The processor bundled with this device matches with most mid-range processors, and features four Cortex-A53 cores tickling at 1.7GHz and other four running at 2GHz. Plus, there’s also support for memory expansion up to 128 gigs via microSD card.

Camera performance of Huawei Honor 5C is also pretty impressive. Its main camera incorporates a 13-megapixel sensor with an aperture as wide as f/2.0, while front-facing shooter comes with an 8-megapixel sensor with the same aperture. They both work seamlessly with a bunch of features and filters, and are equally well supported by a big 3000 mAh battery.

In addition to this, the dual-SIM based Huawei Honor 5C has been equipped with major connectivity options including Wi-Fi, A-GPS, Bluetooth, 3G HSPA+, and 4G LTE. It packs a standard microUSB 2.0 charging port, and delivers blazing download and upload speeds with advanced Cat.6 LTE technology. There’s still no information whether it will support Indian LTE bands, but with 4G on both SIMs and downloads up to 300 Mbps, it makes a brilliant package for on-the-go users.

Despite housing a big battery, Honor 5C tips on the scale at 8.3mm. It weighs just around 156 grams, and outperforms most mid-range smartphones with Android 6.0 Marshmallow based Emotion UI 4.1 skin atop.
