No Aid for Gaza, No Rock n Roll for Israel - Three Major Acts Cancel Israel Dates
The Huffington Post is reporting that while not stating so officially, legendary alternative rock band The Pixies have cancelled their concert that had been scheduled for Tel Aviv this week in response to the Israeli navy’s killing of nine activists aboard an aid ship bound for Gaza.

According to Haaretz.com, The Klaxons and Gorillaz Sound System have both also cancelled their performances scheduled in Tel Aviv this week.
“Though the groups did not provide an official reason for canceling their trips, event producer Shuki Weiss said he believes it was because the tumultuous events in the region over the last few days.”
The Pixies were formed back in 1986 and are frequently cited by younger bands as a primary influence. Most famously, Kurt Cobain publicly acknowledged the debt he felt his hugely successful band, Nirvana, owed to the Pixies.
The Gorillaz first album, “Gorillaz” sold over seven million copies and earned them a place in the “Guinness Book of World Records.” Their second album, “Demon Days” went double platinum in the United States.
The Klaxons are a newer breakout band whose 2007 debut album, “Myths of the Near Future” won best album at the 2008 NME Awards in London. They have performed with best-selling artists such as Rihanna.
