Today, Aug 16th 2015, WWIII Started…and No One Seems to Have Noticed

Ukrainian activists on August 14-15 published photos of the Russian amour on their Facebook page. Military authorities in Ukraine believe the number of Russian troops within and close to its borders has risen to more than 50,000, raising fears of a substantial escalation in the conflict raging in Ukraine’s eastern regions.

Sources on twitter are confirming that Russian T90-A tanks are beginning to move into the Ukraine and heading for the city of Donetsk to reinforce rebel held (pro-Russian) positions.

Current intelligence suggests that once Russian military hardware reaches Donetsk, a battle for the strategic port city of Mariupol Ukraine will commence. Mariupol, steel-making city of 500,000 is the biggest, urban center in the conflict zone still controlled by Kiev.

It has been reported that english-speaking troops (NATO Special Forces) are currently present in Mariupol. Currently, their mission is to advise Ukrainian troops.  In Mariupol, Ukrainian troops suggest that the actual support for Kiev is a tad higher than the purely non-lethal assistance officially offered to Kiev by the West.

Also, unconfirmed reports indicate that several Russain 1X Slava “Glory” Class Guided Missile Cruisers have been spotted in the Black Sea near the port city of Mariupol. Slavas are often referred to as “carrier killers” as they are packed with 16 massive and deadly SS-N-12 “Sandbox” anti-ship missiles. These are very large cruise missiles weighing some five tons each. They are capable of flying over 300 miles at speeds of up tp mach 2.4 and can deliver a massive one-ton armor-piercing warhead onto their target.

Something to consider, since the onset of the conflict in Ukraine, Russia has conducted at least 3 snap exercises per month. Theses snap exercises are designed to test unit readiness and prepare them for war. In response, NATO has increased the number of military exercises near Russian borders from 90-95 to 150 and the number of reconnaissance aviation flights has increased by 9 times since last year.

What does all this mean? The Russia military is currently entering into the Ukraine and has its sights set on the city of Mariupol where NATO Special Forces are confirmed to be actively operating alongside Ukrainian troops. Russian Guided Missile Cruisers are in position. Tensions are high. Today, Aug 16^th 2015, the wheels of WWIII have been set in motion.
