Who Are the 144,000 Servants of God in the Book of Revelation and Where Do They Come From?
Here is where the “rubber meets the road”. They are all male, and they are all virgins. Are YOU in a “christian” group that teaches that YOU are part of the 144,000? Well, you better be a Jewish male that has never had sex

For some reason, there seems to be a lot of debate and confusion about the nature and identity of the 144,000 mentioned in the book of Revelation. That is puzzling to me because God is beyond crystal-clear about who these people are and where they come from. Cultic groups like the Jehovah’s Witnesses have long claimed that they are the 144,000, but as you will soon see, that is a categorical impossibility.
WHO THEY ARE: The Bible is very clear. The 144,000 are ethnic Jews taken 12,000 at a time from each of the 12 tribes of Israel. The tribes they are taken from are Reuben, Gad, Aser, Nepthalim, Manasses, Simeon, Levi, Issachar, and Zebulon. “Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. WHERE THEY COME FROM: On this point, the Bible is less clear, but we can still know something about it. The Bible says that that are male, virgin Jews belonging to the 12 tribes of Israel, that we know for sure. But if you were to go to Israel today, could you find 144,000 male, virgin Jews who also follow Jesus? Easy answer – no. you could not. At this moment in time they are either being kept hidden in reserve or yet to be raised up. But remember, the time of Jacob’s trouble is a time where the natural and the supernatural once again meet, and on a regular basis. During this time, people living then will witness crazy amounts of supernatural phenomena. This is most likely from whence they will appear, by a supernatural raising up by God. For those of you who are born again now and will be leaving with the rest of us in the Pretribulation Rapture of the Church, we will be “watching from the balcony” when the 144,000 are commissioned and sealed. “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;” Luke 21:25 (KJV)
As you can clearly see, all faux-Christian groups like Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Seventh Day Adventists, and any other who claim to be a part of this group we dismiss out of hand because their claims in no way line up with Bible prophecy. Another great trick these groups like to use is to spiritualize being Jewish and then claim that they are “spiritual Jews”. But this nonsense won’t wash anymore than Bruce Jenner could become a woman by claiming he was one.
There is no such thing as a “spiritual Jew”. The Bible only recognizes three groups of people, and they are the Jews, the Gentiles, and the Church of Jesus Christ.

The following bears repeating from the words of Paul the Apostle:
Acts 24:14 But this I admit to you, that according to [T]he Way which they call a sect I do serve the God of our fathers, believing everything that is in accordance with the Law and that is written in the Prophets;15 having a hope in God, which these men cherish themselves, that there shall certainly be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked. Recall that (Titus Flavius) Josephus (né Yosef ben Matityahu) — a Jewish historian, Roman citizen, and self-described Pharisee — applied the term “Essenes” (=pious ones) to this “sect.” He even had a spurious claim of living among those in Qumran before deciding to practice pharisaism; however, his timeline does not mesh up (i.e., he lied on his résumé). The Dead Sea Scrolls mention “the way” repeatedly in significant manuscripts.
The Damascus Document describes how the Congregation of men and women lived. They sold all their earthly possessions and donated the proceeds to the collective — living a communal lifestyle. This is confirmed in Acts including some of the problems they encountered:

John (Yochanan) was instructed in the desert wilderness of Qumran based on Luke 1:80:
Luke 1:80 And the child continued to grow and to become strong in spirit, and he lived in the deserts until the day of his public appearance to Israel. (NASB)
Do you think that John’s parents — whose father was a Levitical priest — would allow their only son to roam aimlessly in the desert? How would he become “strong in spirit?” The Holy Spirit had not been sent yet!
Like it or not, THIS was the early church… And, for the Catholic folks, Peter NEVER visited Rome, but as a Roman citizen, Paul definitely did! Again, that is documented in Acts et al.

Who penned the Dead Sea Scrolls?
The answer is exceptionally easy as to whom penned the Dead Sea Scrolls (DSS); the mystery is revealed in the Book of Acts. Luke and Acts were written to Mattathias ben Theophilus (recorded simply as “Theophilus” — just as Yosef ben Caiaphas was referenced as “Caiaphas”). Theophilus was the kohen gadol (=chief priest) in Jerusalem in 65-66 CE at the start of the First Jewish-Roman War that lasted from 66-73 CE. Luke was explicitly written in chronological order taken from eyewitness accounts; see Luke 1:1-4 concentrating on v3.
The “sect” was called THE WAY (Heb. HaDerech) in Acts. Josephus, a self-described Pharisee (and we know what Christ thought of them in The Eight Woes recorded in Matthew 23) coined the derogatory term “Essenes” (=pious ones). These “wise men from the east” of Jerusalem — 15 miles as the crow flies — in the desert wilderness of Qumran had resided there for nearly two centuries before Christ’s conception on the Feast of New Oil in 5 CE and His birth on the Feast of Weeks in 6 CE. (And, yes, I have confirmed what the “star of Bet Lechem” was with our local planetarium.) Yochanan (John), who was a Levite, went to study in Qumran; see Luke 1:80. Recall that he was “the voice crying out in the (desert) wilderness.” The Feast of Weeks is when The Way made new covenants; Yehoshu’a (Joshua, falsely called “Jesus” from the Latin transliteration — NOT translation — of His name) ushered in the ultimate New Covenant with His birth.
Malachi was the Teacher of Righteousness, and John Hyrcanus, the first Jew to “proselytize by the sword,” was the Wicked Priest when this “sect” was in its infancy. Malachi explicitly speaks of The Way and of the coming of Yochanan before Yehoshu’a:
Malachi 2:8 But as for you, you have turned aside from THE WAY (emphasis mine); you have caused many to stumble by the instruction; you have corrupted the covenant of Levi,” says the Lord of hosts. (NASB)
Malachi 3:1 “Behold, I am going to send My messenger, and he will clear THE WAY (emphasis mine) before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple; and the messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight, behold, He is coming,” says the Lord of hosts. (NASB)

The Congregation, or men and women of The Way, lived in Damascus, Syria, where there is a “street called Straight” to this very day. They would dedicate their first-born sons to the Lord and send them to Qumran to study. Where was Sha’ul (Saul) going to persecute the men and women of The Way under direct orders of the Great Sanhedrin? It’s all right there in Acts, folks! You just have to open your eyes and quit listening to “Biblical scholars” and their false machinations.
Of those in Qumran, the last vestiges of them were discovered at Masada according to research via the Biblical Archaeology Society (BAS). Scribal remnants were crossed matched at both locations (http://tinyurl.com/n3zt9ch).
So, how does The Way factor into prophesy? They are the 144,000 of Revelation! What other Jewish males in that number (12,000 from each of the 12 tribes of Israel) were chaste? Neither the Pharisees nor Sadducees were celibate. The DSS clearly state that those in Qumran were. This “sect” separated themselves from the corruption being practiced in Jerusalem, and they lasted for just under three centuries (early second century BCE to 73 CE). The generation that existed in the time of Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection in 36 CE certainly witnessed the destruction of the Second Temple.
Modern day Israel/Jerusalem follow the Babylonian mysteries. They place more faith in the Talmud Bavli (Babylonian Talmud) than they do in the TaNaKh (OT); they follow a Babylonian calendar in which the fourth month is named after the Babylonian deity Tammuz (http://tinyurl.com/qgl6wg4); and they recite “Adonai” for the Tetragrammaton, which is a reference to the Greek Adonis and the Babylonian Tammuz. They are “Mystery Babylon” from Revelation, and Jerusalem will certainly be destroyed! After the new Heaven and Earth are created, New Jerusalem, the bride of Christ, will descend from Heaven! An interesting take on the subject of the 144,000 individuals mentioned in scriptures. I see where the author in the end puts 3 religions as false, very narrow minded since 2 of them do not look at the 144,000 as the witnesses do. This means that the author is wrong also and has NO validity in judging other peoples religion. In fact ALL religions have mistaken the word of GOD by men translating from one language into another. There is also no man or woman perfect on earth so it is understood perfection can not be attained at the moment. Perhaps the author might visit these institutions and see for themselves the vast array of family values they teach and the gifts given to society they contribute. Once a person realizes that the holy bible was formed in King James time and huge amounts of doctrine, gospels and stories are not in it, they might find that there is more to offer on the kingdom of God. Once the author realizes what they are doing they may repent for being so narrow minded, they my even realize they are serving Lucifer by trying to discredit beautiful people who are trying their best to do what they think is right.

The Koine Greek used for “chaste” in this verse is παρθένοι. Here’s the meaning in Strong’s concordance: http://biblehub.com/greek/strongs_3933.htm. These 144,000 were certainly chaste/virgins. Again, neither Pharisees nor Sadducees were celibate, but the men of The Way in Qumran certainly were. It is documented in the DSS and by Josephus. The Congregation of (married!) men and women of The Way initially lived in Damascus, Syria.
Any form of “replacement” theology is just a lie — “precepts of men” and “doctrines of demons.”

How to use the name Jew correctly:
At the time of Yahshua, Judea was a nation under Roman rule with an appointed Edomite King over it.
Paul is from tribe of Benjamin calls himself a Jew, why? Because he lived in Judea as a citizen not because he was a member of the tribe of Judah as he was not. That is one use of Jew. To refer to someone of the tribe of Judah as Jew is another use of the word. The book of Revelation offers us an interesting Theological dilemma. It states Rev 22:16. I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. Revelation also states it is “the true sayings” of Jesus and that it is “the testimony of Christ”. If this is not “the gospel of Jesus Christ” then what is it and should we consider it accursed testimony of an angel? If it is not to be considered accursed, then it cannot be some other gospel message then what was already given previously. However, this is the conundrum, for if this is the gospel message, then why do so few understand it? There is a possibility which few consider but is the overall thesis of this apology. The reason people don’t understand revelation is because they never understood what the gospel message was in the first place! In that case, where does that put those who claim it is not essential for salvation? Do you not find it quite curious that the most “Personally” given NT book By Jesus himself, is the least understood and given the least importance for Salvation in Christendom?….There are numerous preachers and bible exegetes but as Paul said “… I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge” . Most who profess the name of Christ are feeding on doctrines of devils and the ignorant.. There are, without question, many “qualified” teachers and scholars with many years of “dedication” and “solid education”. The saints who have physical died faithful in the flesh (every man in his own order) are changed in the blink of an eye & caught up to sit on that Great white throne ( this congregation of the saints is the body of Christ that folks will answer to at the judgment and these saints will judge all men who cannot see Christ along with the rest of the world……Folks think they are waiting to see Jesus but they will NEVER see Jesus himself they will only see the body of Christ condemn them the saints judge the world (Rev 3:21; 1 Cor 6:2 et al) the saints are the body of Christ…that is the only part of Christ they shall see….only the saints shall see God face to face…..most peoples idea of the second coming & day of the Lord and the judgment is completely wrong

Judah is just one of twelve tribes and you can’t be calling the the other tribes Judah.

The Bible explains itself and the only passage that explains who the 144,000 are who are “virgins” in Rev 14:4 is that they are he wise virgins that get into the marriage in Christ’s wedding parables. In Bible prophecy, a woman represent a church as in Jer 6:2.
The 144,000 are not defile by churches with various doctrines that have come from the papacy (the harlot in Rev 17) which is also the “Mother of Harlots” that no longer protest her. We don’t have to worry about Jewish blood lines. “If ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed” Gal 3:29 and God can sort out which tribe we belong to. Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are the three “Hebrew” Patriarchs found in the Old Testament.
Find even — “one” — scripture in the entire Bible where these three men are called Jews and you will be the very first to do so.

The 12 tribes had been in captivity for almost 400 years and the Egyptians called them Hebrews — never Jews: The twelve sons of Jacob according to God’s Word were known as — Hebrews .

Abraham is the first person called a Hebrew (Genesis 14:13) in the Biblical text. What does the name Hebrew mean and where does it come from? Abraham’s G,G,G,G,G Grandfather was Ever (or Eber) “And Arpakshad bore Shalach who bore Ever” (Genesis 10:24). The Hebrew spelling of the word Hebrew is עברי and the Hebrew spelling of Ever is עבר. When the letter י is placed after a name it means “one belonging to the family of …” and in this case a Hebrew is one who belongs to the family of Eber.
By definition, a Hebrew is one who is descended from Ever and this would include Abraham as well as his brothers Nahor and Haran. While the lineage’s of Nahor and Haran seem to disappear, probably absorbed into other cultural groups, only Abraham and his descendents remain Hebrews to this day.
The root עבר means to “cross over” or “pass through”. As names play a very significant role of the ancient peoples of the Near East, this name and its meaning is indicative of Abraham and his descendents. Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were nomads who by definition are ones who travel or pass through many lands on their nomadic journey. In Genesis 12:6 we read (From the KJV) “And Abram passed through the land unto the place of Sichem, unto the plain of Moreh. And the Canaanite was then in the land.” The phrase “passed through” is the Hebrew verb עבר (the same word as the noun/name Eber).
