Jack Johnson was a black boxer in a time of strong racial segregation in America. He was brought to trial and convicted for violation of the Mann Act which made it a crime to take a woman across state lines for immoral purposes. The woman in question, Lucille Cameron, was the love of Johnson’s life, she was also white. In 1912, that fact along with the incredible success Johnson has as a boxer, made him a target and eventually put him in prison.

In the hundred plus years since that took place, many in Washington over the decades have called and lobbied for a pardon for Johnson. No president would issue the pardon, despite many on both sides of the aisle calling for it to happen. Most notably, our first black president, Barack Hussein Obama, also refused to correct the racial injustice of Johnson’s phony conviction by the all-white jury.

Today, President Donald Trump issued a full, complete and long overdue pardon of boxer Jack Johnson, is a ceremony at the White House that included ‘Rocky’ star Sylvester Stallone, and former heavyweight boxing champ Lennox Lewis.

Earlier on Thursday, Stallone posted a photo of himself at the White House on Instagram with the caption “Waiting for the moment to go into the oval office for the pardon…” In the Oval Office, Trump said of Stallone: “I love his movies.”

“This has been a long time coming,” Stallone said, adding that Johnson served as the inspiration for the character of Apollo Creed in the Rocky movies.

Investors.com report it like this: The findings of the military’s six-month investigation corroborate an internal 2009 Army report that found Bergdahl had a history of walking off his post and more than likely deserted. That’s why the Pentagon never listed him as a POW. The report said he shipped his laptop back home to Idaho, and left a note expressing his disillusionment with the war, before ending up in the arms of the Taliban.

Obama had access to this intelligence long before he made his Taliban deal. So why did he trade a known deserter — and likely enemy sympathizer, if not collaborator — for five enemy commanders that he acknowledged posed a national security risk? And why did he glorify Bergdahl as a war hero?

To justify the release from Gitmo of five hardened terrorists who would never have been released otherwise and to help close down Gitmo. This was all part of a political strategy.

Obama happens to share the agenda of Bergdahl and his Taliban-bearded father, who was an antiwar activist long before his son played Taliban hostage. We know that from their emails and tweets. Bob Bergdahl promised the Taliban that he’d continue to fight to get all terrorists freed from Gitmo after the deal was finalized. He even prayed that American soldiers would be punished for killing Afghans.

President Trump has all but eradicated the ISIS threat that Obama seemed powerless (or unwilling) to stop. Trump pardoned Jack Johnson while Obama traded Islamic terrorists for Army deserters. America under Trump has the lowest level of unemployment since 1973, while under Obama we had record-high numbers of people enrolled in things like Food Stamps and Welfare.

Trump is hated by the media and Obama was their hero. The divisions in this country have very little to do with race, and everything to do with political agenda.
