The Baltimore Sun is not known as a Conservative newspaper, so this very well written assessment of the situation in the USA comes as something of a surprise.
THE BLACK DILEMMA: For almost 150 years the United States has been conducting an interesting experiment. The subjects of the experiment: black people and working-class whites.
The hypothesis to be tested: Can a people who were taken from the jungles of Africa and forced into slavery be fully integrated as citizens in a majority white population?
The whites were descendants of Europeans who had created a majestic civilization. The former slaves had been tribal peoples with no written language and virtually no intellectual achievements.
Acting on a policy that was not fair to either group, the government released newly freed black people into a white society that saw them as inferiors. America has struggled with racial discord ever since.
Breaking – not building!
Decade after decade the problems persisted but the experimenters never gave up. They insisted that if they could find the right formula the experiment would work, and invented program after program to get the result they wanted. They created the Freedman’s Bureau, passed civil rights laws, tried to build the Great Society, declared War on Poverty, ordered race preferences, built housing projects, and tried midnight basketball.
Their new laws intruded into people’s lives in ways that would have been otherwise unthinkable. They called in National Guard troops to enforce school integration.
They outlawed freedom of association. Over the protests of parents, they put white children on buses and sent them to black schools and vice-versa.
They tried with money, special programs, relaxed standards and endless hand wringing to close the achievement gap. To keep white backlash in check, they began punishing public and even private statements on race.
They hung up Orwellian public banners that commanded whites to Celebrate Diversity! and Say No to Racism. Nothing was off-limits if it might salvage the experiment.
Some thought that what W.E.B. DuBois called the Talented Tenth would lead the way for black people. A group of elite, educated blacks would knock down doors of opportunity and show the world what blacks were capable of.
There is a Talented Tenth. They are the black Americans who have become entrepreneurs, lawyers, doctors and scientists. But ten percent is not enough. For the experiment to work, the ten percent has to be followed by a critical mass of people who can hold middle-class jobs and promote social stability. That is what is missing.
Through the years, too many black people continue to show an inability to function and prosper in a culture unsuited to them. Detroit is bankrupt, the south side of Chicago is a war zone, and the vast majority of black cities all over America are beset by degeneracy and violence. And blacks never take responsibility for their failures. Instead, they lash out in anger and resentment.
Across the generations and across the country, as we have seen in Detroit, Watts, Newark, Los Angeles, Cincinnati and now Ferguson, rioting and looting are just one racial incident away. The white elite would tell us that this doesn’t mean the experiment has failed. We just have to try harder. We need more money, more time, more understanding, more programs, and more opportunities.
But nothing changes no matter how much money is spent, no matter how many laws are passed, no matter how many black geniuses are portrayed on TV, and no matter who is president. Some argue it’s a problem of culture as if culture creates people’s behaviour instead of the other way around. Others blame white privilege.
But since 1965, when the elites opened America’s doors to the Third World, immigrants from Asia and India, people who are not white, not rich, and not connected have quietly succeeded.
While the children of these people are winning spelling bees and getting top scores on the SAT, black youths are committing half the country’s violent crime, which includes viciously punching random white people on the street for the thrill of it which has nothing to do with poverty.
The experiment has failed. Not because of White culture, or White privilege, or White racism. The fundamental problem is that American black culture has evolved into an un-fixable and crime-ridden mess.
*They do not want to change their culture or society, and expect others to tolerate their violence and amoral behaviour. They have become socially incompatible with other races by their own design, not because of the racism of others, but by their own hatred of non-blacks.
Our leaders don’t seem to understand just how tired their White subjects are with this experiment. They don’t understand that White people aren’t out to get black people; they are just exhausted with them.
They are exhausted by the social pathologies, the violence, the endless complaints, and the blind racial solidarity, the bottomless pit of grievances, the excuses, and the reflexive animosity. The elites explain everything with racism and refuse to believe that white frustration could soon reach the boiling point.
You can’t legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government can’t give to anybody anything that the government doesn’t first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they don’t have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.’

Ain’t that the truth. Though blacks generally excel at rapping and physical sports, they generally don’t build muscle mass like Icelandics, for one example.
How would life be for you if you were not allowed to know your history; if your family was constantly changing and being torn apart, members sold and traded never to be seen again, all while you are being brutally enslaved? Who is a person with such a past?
(And, by the way, this is exactly what is being done to our Republic of the United States right now, so that when all who are alive to witness what is happening die, a new history can be established to take its place. And who will know to set things straight?)
And you say, the Black race is not like other races. Indeed so, of course, but from the point of view of the privileged, overly propagandized education that informs your reality; but from actual brutality as well as legal measures prohibiting oral traditions from being shared and family experience and other suppressive and horrifying influences to numerable to mention here.
What other race has had such a terrible history as Black Americans? African-Americans…what other American is described using another country in its name and why should that be?
You judge and label and look down upon Black Americans implying lack of education and some sort of natural inclination for careless behavior is to blame. After all, white people have tried everything to help and nothing seems to work…you are so very brilliant, good, and well-intentioned. Break it apart, then fix it, huh…do what you want with a entire race of people and you wonder why there are problems.
Well there is nothing helpful that will address the problems of a history completely denied, at least not from a people who think it is their right to break apart that history, and who possess any answer or method of fixing the problems that arise from having done so, or, who have the temerity to think it is simply a matter of what they could achieve in the first place…so completely arrogant and contemptuous!
You are a colossal, egotistical and pompous individual sheltered, for you own protection, within a small carefully constructed frame of reference, a fool.
Care to attempt to realize that there is an experience resulting from denied self-identity of a population of people. I wager you would not actually like to know that experience and you are supremely lucky not to have had it.
Black Americans, any person, has the DIVINE RIGHT for him/herself to find a way through life.
The big problem is with a people set aside, who keep thinking and believing they have the right to destroy lives and then to reconstruct what they have destroyed, and astonishingly enough, to see absolutely no reason for the trouble that they have created; people who can’t seem to resist the urge to judge and label other people.
Heaven help you to understand that you simply need to stand out of the way, as you are only a part of the human race, not its head, before the entire world is destroyed at your hand.
I cannot imagine how many can read this comment and understand what is being said, let alone who or what is being defended and accused. Who and how is someone (and whom is that someone?) who is tearing down, tearing apart, breaking apart only to rebuild, reconstructing what they have destroyed. . .???
And “their history” is mentioned about a zillion times yet never actually placed in a context. If slavery is the history to which you are referring, it is time to make it just that: history.
Sincerely, it comes across as one more reason and excuse for A SEGMENT of a race to be constantly angry. Rebellious. Destructive. But why? Could it be that that segment+ is being taught by other angry people who never curbed their anger and continue to TEACH RACISM AS THEIR HISTORY and their PRESENT, making parts of another generation victims for life? THERE lies a large source of the problem. My own mother kept telling me that we are”shanty Irish” and cannot make it far in this world; 2 sisters believed her and I was challenged by that thought and did “make it”. Black Americans are limited with knowing what is obvious to everyone, their skin color. What about their heritage? Slave families were often composed of the other non-related slaves, which could change on any given day with the high bid for his/her body. There is no link to family or culture, the people who love and care about him/her; the place that teaches them who they are. where the feelings of belonging are palpable? How can any one know what that does to a person’s sense of self, their humanity?
Think of what family means to you. Imagine your life some other way.
Also, I would like to add that I do not excuse what is happening in our cities nor condone it. Because it is abhorrent, horrifying, and a disgusting display of disrespect for self, for others and for our Country. (This ongoing, escalating destruction is not normal. It costs and requires funding and organization. Do some research of the pallets of bricks showing up at riot locations and non-Blacks throwing explosives into police cars, who are going to Federal prison, more than likely. No this is not just a bunch of disgruntled Black people but the news programs show what they want to show, and leave out what they don’t, of everything the happens.
Yes people ARE taught to hate and blame their history instead being taught responsibility and self-sufficiency. (Black families were further torn apart with the welfare program which offered funds to needy families on the condition of the absence of the father! Single mothers only, hence fatherless Black families. So how does a young man learn to be a man? And schools fail to teach the basics. And every Presidential election year, Democrats stoke discontent among Black people of how terrible their lives are and have been and here we are today. It’s a vicious cycle. These people get elected, get to continue receiving their outrageous salaries and nothing changes.)
May original response was in reference to the writer’s lower instincts in which he was attempting to prove current events were evidence of an inferior race of people. He is inviting his readers to join him down to the depths of his bigotry because he knows these events try people’s emotions and bring out the worst of the weakness within.

If one can’t see how things are not what they seem, that most of the rioters ARE NOT BLACK AMERICANS, than they should take a closer look.

I have often wondered if the black race has a substantial contribution to make to mankind that does not translate into western/european culture. Like they are locked out due to nature and not oppression. I don’t believe they are locked out due to oppression at all. Obviously ithis contribution would be deeper than the surface level entertainment industries. Maybe the whole planet is sick because we are denied the black contribution to the world. Like a tripod with a broken leg. I don’t know specifically what that contribution would be, but I wouldn’t say it’s whites faults that blacks are in this position. Sometimes the pride and ego of publicized blacks is astounding, almost a caricature of a human. Also, the self rightousness without personal reflection and personal responsibility is crippling to them, over the top, and a lie reinforced by liberal whites. Sometimes I wonder if all the whites in the BLM movement are just participating in a bizarre courting ritual, like groupies. Not only are there successful blacks financially, which blows all BLM and lib propaganda out of the water, but there are also extremely wise blacks who are unmatched in value of what they contribute to society. To name a few, Burgess Owen, Candace Owens, Woodson of the Woodson Institute, Horace Cooper, Larry Elder, there are many but I can’t remember names. What I have noticed about blacks, is when they “get it” they become a really powerful force of love and truth and they feel different than white people. And in all honesty, I myself crave hearing them and their presence. So I know God has powerful and meaningful assignments for the black race. If only they could see it themselves.

But if you want to look at white achievements, how about Hitler, Stalin, Lenin, the inquisition, and both world wars. Yes, blacks are on the lower end for IQ scores, but whites are only in the middle, surpassed by both Jews and Asians. Psychologists can’t even agree upon what IQ tests are actually testing. Cultural variances may easily skew IQ results regardless of actual intellect.
Blacks may have largely been pushed into a subculture due to being ostracized and denied equal opportunities for so many years. Such a subculture may require different traits to survive than society at large. Those traits then become desirable within that subculture, and those who demonstrate those traits rise to prominence and become a model to follow. Fighting ability, sexual prowess, street smarts, etc, as opposed to book smarts, are of greater practical value for surviving in the ghettos and prisons blacks were largely forced to live in for so many years. Indeed, whites in similar environments develop the same traits and values.
Even if, and it’s a huge IF, you could control for all other factors and reduce intelligence down to the genetic level to demonstrate blacks are mostly intellectually inferior, so what? God created blacks and if they hypothetically lack in one area, you can be sure they surpass in other areas. The human race as a whole resembles a single organism, and every part of the organism is essential for its health and integrity. If there are racial differences and attributes beyond color, then it was God in his perfect wisdom who created mankind as such. White hubris has come close to destroying the planet, which is something jungle dwellers have never aspired to do. Perhaps the greatest pathology lies outside of the black race. But really, we’re all pretty much the same.

So, how do we remedy our situation from this wicked heart? Our fallen state? Our unregenerate heart? From which ALL RACIAL HATRED proceeds? What is the WAY to true, Biblical salvation? To being AUTHENTICALLY “clothed with white robes”?
Jesus gave us only ONE WAY. It is “strait” (w/ OBSTACLES) and it is “narrow” (COMPRESSING AND AFFLICTING).

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: (Matt 7:13)
