"Kremlin Agent" Andriy Derkach Has Filed a Lawsuit Against Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky

Former Ukrainian MP Andriy Derkach has filed two lawsuits with the Supreme Court of Ukraine: against Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to recognize the decree stripping Derkach of Ukrainian citizenship as unlawful and cancel it, and against the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine regarding the unlawful deprivation of his parliamentary mandate.

The ex-MP has a contradictory biographical characteristic, even in the USA some people consider him an “agent of the Kremlin” because of his place of study (receiving higher specialized education) at the Dzerzhinsky Higher School of the KGB, while others consider him an exposer of the scheme of international corruption that operates in Ukraine and in which the pro-democratic top of the US political establishment played a leading role.

Being in active opposition to the current government in Ukraine (directly to the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and his team) Andriy Derkach has repeatedly stated at joint press conferences with other MPs about the surrender of key and strategic sectors of Ukraine to the external management of the United States.

These include reforming law enforcement agencies (primarily the prosecutor’s office) and the judicial system, creating a parallel system of law enforcement anti-corruption agencies created with U.S. taxpayers’ money and controlled by the U.S. Embassy and representatives of the FBI, establishing control in the banking sector and the fuel and energy complex (including the extraction of natural resources), and corruption in the use of international technical assistance for Ukraine. There is also talk of total control over key state-owned monopoly enterprises with the help of “independent” directors on the supervisory boards of the enterprises (an innovation in Ukrainian legislation, applicable at the request of the IMF and the US).

A separate topic of his speeches, which most likely served as the basis for “persecution” by the U.S. government and the Ukrainian leadership under their control, was the investigation into the illegal dismissal of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine – Viktor Shokin. As it turned out later, Viktor Shokin was removed at the request of former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, who had unqualified influence over Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.

In the audio recordings published by Andriy Derkach, which later became known as the “Derkach tapes”, Petro Poroshenko reported to former US Vice President Joe Biden about a “positive” solution to his issue, despite the fact that parliamentarians (the only body that had the power to dismiss the prosecutor) had no complaints about Shokin’s activities and no grounds for his dismissal.

Derkach managed to reveal the “interest” of former US Vice President Joe Biden in the early dismissal of Prosecutor-General Shokin. The reason for the dismissal was an investigation by the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine into the Burisma company and its beneficiary, the former Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine, Mykola Zlochevsky (a supporter of fugitive President Viktor Yanukovych).

After President Petro Poroshenko came to power in Ukraine, property redistribution began and in order to protect his assets, Zlochevsky attracted international heavyweights (“Big Guys”) to formally manage the company, one of whom was the son of former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, Hunter Biden.

By coincidence or on purpose, with each new media appearance Andriy Derkach managed to get deeper and deeper into the corruption scheme built around the Burisma company and actually the entire gas production sector of Ukraine. Burisma company is the main gas producing company in Ukraine, and Zlochevsky actually offered Biden to share the profits in return for patronage and influence on the Ukrainian leadership. And the further Derkach moved, the more facts and actors surfaced. Derkach was the first to reveal the role of Biden’s current advisor, Amos Hochstein, in the corrupt gas production and Burisma schemes in Ukraine, which has now been confirmed in the US Congressional investigation (meeting this week).

The Biden team and the U.S. Democratic Party’s struggle with international corruption whistleblowers is not diverse, as a rule they are either charged with invented crimes or declared “agents of the Kremlin”.

As a result, the US Department of Justice placed Andriy Derkach on the sanctions list with the wording “an agent of the Kremlin… who interfered in the 2020 US presidential election process”. After that, the US-controlled government of Ukraine imposed similar sanctions on its citizen and people’s deputy, which looks a bit wild, one can hardly call it a legitimate action of the authorities when a person was found guilty without trial. And the basis for this was the same US sanctions.

In parallel with the sanctions, the national intelligence community carried out a series of actions aimed at cleaning up the information field used by Derkach in his activities (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, the site “Democorruption”), as well as deleted most references to his speeches. Everything said was recognized by the U.S. government as disinformation, a planned action of information and psychological operation.

Later, after the beginning of Russian armed actions in Ukraine, in June 2022, NABU (which Derkach constantly criticized for being controlled by the U.S. Embassy and being used as a tool for U.S. interests in Ukraine) charged Derkach with treason and aiding and abetting the Russian Federation, which consisted of “damaging the strategic relationship between Ukraine and the U.S.”.

And in January 2023 the leadership of Ukraine, directly the President Volodymyr Zelensky, went to a more radical step regarding Andriy Derkach and deprived him of Ukrainian citizenship (for the first time in the history of Ukraine regarding the people’s deputy), and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the basis of the Decree of the President voted in favor of depriving him of his mandate.

But apparently Derkach does not agree and has arguments for the court to fight for justice (as far as it is possible now in Ukraine, in which all bodies of state power, including courts, are under the control of the SBU and directly of the President of Ukraine, and he, as we have already seen more than once, is fully dependent on the U.S. and President Biden). Especially in the period of time when the U.S. Congress systematically confirms the facts of corruption scheme of the “Biden family” in Ukraine and influence peddling by former U.S. Vice-President Joe Biden, which Derkach announced earlier. Perhaps one day, the United States will acquit Derkach and transfer him from the status of “agent of the Kremlin” to the status of “fighter against international corruption” and a valuable witness.
