Frank Holmes - Gold Bottom In for 2014

He adds that the geopolitical tensions are supporting gold prices but he does not think it is sustainable. “[But] if oil prices start to spike, then we get inflation and that’s what triggers the run to gold.” Looking over at the US, Holmes says Yellen’s potential taper announcement may be good for gold because he is looking at the money supply. “Money supply is very important for the fear trade and is also a catalyst for inflation.
