Nevada Gold Explorer Expands Oxide Zone at Hercules Project

StrikePoint Gold advances the Hercules Gold Project in Nevada with new drill results that extend oxide mineralization at the Cliffs target, backed by the first conceptual exploration target for the property.

StrikePoint Gold Inc. (SKP:TSX.V; STKXF:OTCQB) is advancing a sizable gold exploration asset in one of North America’s most productive mining districts at a time when gold prices remain sensitive to currency movements and investor sentiment.

Gold has recently traded well below its 200-day moving average, creating conditions that some market observers view as oversold and potentially setting the stage for a rebound later in the year.

Why StrikePoint Gold Stands Out in Nevada’s Walker Lane

The company controls the Hercules Gold Project, a district-scale land package in Nevada’s Walker Lane trend that hosts classic low-sulfidation epithermal geology. The property lies roughly 40 kilometers southeast of Reno and about 20 kilometers east of the historic Comstock mine, giving it proximity to established infrastructure.

StrikePoint secured 100 percent ownership of Hercules in August 2024. An independent technical report prepared under NI 43-101 standards and dated June 2 provides the first conceptual exploration target for the property, estimating 39.8 million to 68.7 million tonnes grading 0.46 to 0.61 grams per tonne gold.

Last week, StrikePoint announced this milestone, which marks the first attempt by any operator to quantify the possible scale of the mineralized system.

Key Assets and Recent Drill Results at the Cliffs Target

The latest assay results come from the third and final batch of the Spring 2026 drilling campaign, according to a July 21 release. Hole H26005 intersected 67.06 meters grading 0.53 g/t gold and 11.69 g/t silver, including a higher-grade interval of 7.62 meters at 2.93 g/t gold and 54.48 g/t silver. Three additional mineralized intervals brought the combined gold-silver mineralization in the hole to more than 100 meters.

Other intercepts included 1.52 meters at 3.74 g/t gold in hole H26022 and 7.62 meters at 1.28 g/t gold in hole H26018. The company noted that the mineralization logged in these holes is predominantly oxide, which aligns with its vision for a potential future heap-leach operation.

The results continue to expand the southwest portion of the Cliffs target, where earlier holes such as H26004 returned 114.3 meters grading 0.63 g/t gold. Mineralization remains open to the south and at depth.

Industry Timing and Project Catalysts

The Walker Lane trend is known for epithermal gold and silver deposits. Hercules covers approximately 10,400 hectares and contains four primary mineralized areas: Cliffs, Hercules, Northeast, and Loaves. The property also includes the recently acquired Como Claims, which add the historic Como mining district and the high-grade Elgin vein.

StrikePoint completed 29 holes in the Spring 2026 program, focusing on shallow oxide gold prospects. The company has not yet drilled the newly acquired ground, leaving additional exploration upside.

Key Investor Takeaways

  • The first conceptual exploration target at Hercules outlines a potential scale of 39.8-68.7 million tonnes at 0.46-0.61 g/t gold, though it remains conceptual and not a mineral resource.
  • Recent drilling at the Cliffs target returned broad oxide intercepts, supporting the possibility of future heap-leach development.
  • The project is fully permitted for exploration drilling and benefits from a large land position in Nevada’s Walker Lane trend.
  • Insider and institutional ownership, including Eric Sprott, provides alignment with shareholders.
  • Gold market conditions appear oversold on multiple technical measures, which could support higher prices if a catalyst emerges.

Technical Analyst Views and Market Context

1John Newell of John Newell and Associates reviewed the stock on August 11, 2025, highlighting StrikePoint’s acquisition of Hercules at a price well below its prior US$25 million transaction value. Newell noted the project’s fully permitted status, oxide gold system, and progress toward a maiden mineral resource estimate, while observing that the market has not yet fully reflected the potential in the share price.

Paul Wong of Sprott Inc. stated that gold has become deeply oversold by several technical measures and is likely to establish a cyclical low before September, with long-term support from ongoing currency debasement, according to a report by Ernest Hoffman for Kitco News on July 20. Forbes Chairman and Editor-in-Chief Steve Forbes similarly attributed the recent pullback in gold prices primarily to a stronger U.S. dollar and described gold as insurance against financial instability.

Share Structure and Upcoming Events

2Insiders and management hold just over 1 percent of the shares. Mining financier Eric Sprott owns about 5 percent through 2176423 Ontario Ltd., while Pathfinder Asset Management Ltd. holds 4.8 percent. The company has 62.39 million shares outstanding and a market capitalization of CA$11.85 million. The shares trade in a 52-week range of CA$0.08 to CA$0.34. [OWNERSHIP_CHART-209]

The company also released an updated technical report for its Cuprite Gold Project in Nevada. The July 14 announcement said the revised report includes enhanced disclosures to provide a clear summary of the project’s technical merits.

The report recommends a two-stage exploration program totaling US$3.66 million, beginning with step-out drilling south of the Cliffs target and initial work on the Como Claims. Additional drilling will be required to determine whether the conceptual exploration target can be advanced toward a formal mineral resource estimate.

Common Questions from Investors

What is the significance of the latest drill results? The intercepts expand the known mineralized footprint at the Cliffs target and confirm continuity of oxide gold-silver mineralization over broad intervals.

How large could the Hercules project be? The independent NI 43-101 report outlines a conceptual exploration target of 39.8-68.7 million tonnes at 0.46-0.61 g/t gold, representing the first estimate of the property’s possible scale.

Is the exploration target the same as a mineral resource? No. The report states that insufficient exploration has been completed to define a mineral resource and that further drilling may or may not result in a resource estimate.

What is the current market view on gold? Several analysts note that gold appears oversold on technical measures and could form a low in the near term, with longer-term support from currency debasement trends.

Retail investors should weigh the early-stage nature of the project, the need for additional drilling, and prevailing gold market conditions before making any investment decision.
