Update on TAR MATS N. Ormond Beach, found seagulls dead now too !

Sad, Found the 2 seagulls dead on the beach and shoreline when I got there..
Same 2 that I usually see each time I go there…. 3 days ago they were fat and healthy !
And people were SWIMMING 30/40 yards from these dead Birds ????
Anyone can see the lite oil in the water….??? and other compounds, so dispersant’s are there too ???
Lady from 2 news came by and talk to me and taped my voice, She said the Coast Guard come out to that area the other day and did water samples and said there was a sheen on the water and it was from an organic source….
Isn’t oil organic ??? made by earth !
I found more tar mats also.

I have been riding the Loop a roadway that goes around a large area for bikers to ride to site-see, and Folks, the birds that used to be in the wetland and tributaries are gone, High Bridge there are “no” small birds running along the edges of the shore, it is eerie, sad, and makes one angry that the smaller life’s are disappearing as each day goes by, the next will be the larger life birds. When I bring it up to people and they look around and say, WTF, where are the birds ? Only crow,blackbirds, Jay scrubs and a few large birds not the hundreds of small birds eating from the shorelines anymore.

Thanks for the updates! It’s like survival of the fittest for intelligent people with basic knowledge of science vs. those who missed those classes and concepts… Very sad. Of course, those of us who appreciated the magnitude of the tragedy have been grieving since April, so maybe it’s better to be blissfully ignorant?
