Sleep deprived wives tend to have relationship issues

Before I write anything, I must say that this is not a gender issue. Men and women have issues because of sleep deprivation. I had them too. All of us have many sleepless nights because of some personal or work related issues. But this new study caught my eye. Marital tensions might be caused by sleep disorders. This study is based on the proven scientific fact that women have a biological clock that is different from men. If she loses sleep, there is bound to be some trouble. I remember how my mother was when we went for a trip. The hotel was bad and there was no way to find another one.

A new study shows that sleep deprivation might trigger marital problems in wives.

Why? The researchers tested the sleep patterns of 35 young and healthy married couple without using any invasive sensors for 10 nights. These researchers found out that women find other ways to deal with the stress of a bad night. They tend to be irritable and verbalize their feelings. (If you ask me, that is the ultimate recipe for a marital disaster.) The study showed a number of ways for women to control this stress.

Keep yourself active during the day after a bad night. When you sleep less, be active during the next day. If not, there will be problems.
Strenuous exercise in late afternoon can promote restful sleep.

Insomniacs are more likely to be inactive during daytime. Some amount of intense exercise can make sure that you’ll sleep like a baby. Do not let a simple thing like sleep ruin a marriage.
