i think i’ll smoke a cigar. i don’t eat meat, drink alcohol, or use illegal substances (other than marijuana once in a great while). tell me, why isn’t there a “no meat day” or a “no alcohol day”? i know a few individuals who likely died from consuming too much meat on a regular basis, and some who did die due to alcoholism (liver failure).
here’s what i was always told, growing up: you’re allowed only one vice. anything more than one will create havoc in your life. mine is tobacco (i’m serious, i don’t eat meat, and i maybe have a beer once a month). don’t ruin it for me because you feel pretentious and righteous within your bourgeois, “feel good” activism.

I smoke fresh organic tobacco, I order 5-15 lbs at a time for a couple hundred bucks. It is cheaper than the $10 a pack for processed “her majesty approved” tobacco. You do know the royals are malthusian eugenicists right? Well to remind you, in order to get rid of population her majesty has made sure that tobacco is manufactured to exacting specifications, that kills smokers faster.
Cigarette tubes are all entirely comprised of bleached white paper.
The tobacco is old, so old in fact the plant waxes have degraded and any natural anti-carcinogenic effects of the waxes are entirely gone; which essentially makes the tobacco you smoke more carcinogenic.
Then there’s all the chemicals added. It’s not good enough to cure the tobacco, the industry adds fire retardants, ammonia, benzene (to replace the loss of benzine during curing), anti-fungal agents.
Then, while I am at describing the deadly nature of her majesty’s tobacco, I’ll point out that it typically is grown with industrial phosphate sources and thus contains polonium traces that persist in the lungs and radon in the off-gassing that sticks to every surface in your home.
The tobacco native americans smoked was fine. Think about what processing and industrialization has done to poison just about everything! It should be no surprise here.
