Bioteeth: Grow New Bioengineered Teeth As An Adult, New Method for Replacing Missing Teeth

People missing teeth may soon be able to avoid dentures and instead regrow missing teeth.

Scientists have developed a new method of replacing missing teeth with a bioengineered material generated from a person’s own gum cells

Scientists have developed a new method of replacing missing teeth with a bioengineered material generated from a person’s own gum cells. Current implant-based methods of whole tooth replacement fail to reproduce a natural root structure and as a consequence of the friction from eating and other jaw movement, loss of jaw bone can occur around the implant. The research is led by Professor Paul Sharpe, an expert in craniofacial development and stem cell biology at King’s College London and published in the Journal of Dental Research.

Professor Paul Sharpe

Research towards achieving the aim of producing bioengineered teeth – bioteeth – has largely focused on the generation of immature teeth (teeth primordia) that mimic those in the embryo that can be transplanted as small cell ‘pellets’ into the adult jaw to develop into functional teeth.

Remarkably, despite the very different environments, embryonic teeth primordia can develop normally in the adult mouth and thus if suitable cells can be identified that can be combined in such a way to produce an immature tooth, there is a realistic prospect bioteeth can become a clinical reality. Subsequent studies have largely focussed on the use of embryonic cells and although it is clear that embryonic tooth primordia cells can readily form immature teeth following dissociation into single cell populations and subsequent recombination, such cell sources are impractical to use in a general therapy.

Professor Sharpe says: ‘What is required is the identification of adult sources of human epithelial and mesenchymal cells that can be obtained in sufficient numbers to make biotooth formation a viable alternative to dental implants.’

In this new work, the researchers isolated adult human gum tissue from patients at the Dental Institute at King’s College London, grew more of it in the lab, and then combined it with the cells of mice that form teeth. By transplanting this combination of cells into mice the researchers were able to grow hybrid human/mouse teeth containing dentine and enamel, as well as viable roots.

Professor Sharpe concludes: ‘Epithelial cells derived from adult human gum tissue are capable of responding to tooth inducing signals from embryonic tooth mesenchyme in an appropriate way to contribute to tooth crown and root formation and give rise to relevant differentiated cell types, following in vitro culture.

‘These easily accessible epithelial cells are thus a realistic source for consideration in human biotooth formation. The next major challenge is to identify a way to culture adult human mesenchymal cells to be tooth-inducing, as at the moment we can only make embryonic mesenchymal cells do this.’

I’ve done some minor reading on the theory that if we didn’t have our wisdom teeth pulled, but instead had minor braces to realign for their position, which wisdom teeth allegedly contain our own stems, we would be able to grow a third set or replacement third tooth when needed.
As for this tech, regular people will never get this, just like we aren’t allowed to have cold fusion or other tech.
Then again with people being so selfish, polluting, ignorant, and over populating, it’s not hard to see why they hold it back.
Except the rest of us who don’t fit that description also don’t get the benefits. But, for now at least we know to use natural supplements, stay away from gmos, fluoride and to use natural supplements (make sure your vits do not have gmos, many do now, a ripoff). Us a good natural toothpaste, no fluoride or chemicals. Use baking soda in water for brushing or mouth rinse. Inexpensive and highly effective.

By the way this info was out over ten years ago. Like I said, they’ve already done it. We just can’t have it.
Like all the bogus ‘concept’ cars. Yet people keep slaving, buying junk, paying big corporations for their junk and gmo junk food. See Woody Harrelson’s new video called – Ethos. It’s short and really good, send it to others too.

I don’t know nothing about growing new teeth from gum cells, now if we’re talking about gumbo, heck I’m all ears!

I can speak from experience, no one is gonna be able to afford this unless your extremely wealthy, dentures run around 1000 for a decent pair & tbh they suck and i feel bad for anyone who hos to deal with em, these teeth in a day thing you see on tv well that shits 25,000 per arch, 50 grand for the whole mouth, its called a 4 on 1 or 6 on1 dental implant, typical dental insurance at most jobs gives you a 1000 bucks to use in a calendar year, anyone without insurance uses care credit which is basically an ultimate scam to make poor people even poorer, I bet this procedure will be 6 figures & if you cant literally put that kind of cash on the counter to pay you are not going to be able to do it, and trust me this doesnt just happen from not brushing I brushed my whole life and found out around 30 that I have hereditary enamel problems, meaning I could of brushed non stop everyday and still wound up with this shit mouth, oh yea and im in a flouridated water system and that shit dont work to prevent shit & ill beat a dentist who tells me otherwise.
