Nourish Is My Choice Of All The Restaurants In Scottsdale

EpigeneticsAndNutriton.com is a source for optimal health and wellness! There are a lot of restaurants in Scottsdale, Arizona for sure but only one passes my checklist for health, nutrition and incredible taste, Nourish!

In the photo here is the owner of Nourish, Kirsten Carey and her Executive Chef, Dan Santos. Kirsten’s path to opening Nourish was certainly not typical, especially considering the quality level of her food which is second to none. She left a successful consulting business to open a non traditional restaurant in a tough economy which usually is a recipe for disaster. Well, I’m happy to report, there are no disasters here as Nourish has a thriving business and growing customer base!

The majority of the restaurants in Scottsdale offer a tasty menu but they do not come close to the authentic taste of real food offered at Nourish.

Nourish’s menu is organic and the majority of it’s items are plant based offered as a raw or vegan dish. Now, for those who like burgers, Nourish has something for you as well. They use clean animal protein from trusted local farms who have grass fed cattle and who don’t inject their cattle with hormone shots. So, if you want meat for lunch or dinner, you now have an option for a healthy, great tasting burger!

My wife and I met Kirsten and Dan at their event at Nourish Restaurant where they hosted T. Colin Campbell PhD, co-author of The China Study and developed an instant connection with them. Once my wife Kathy had seen on Facebook that T. Colin Campbell would be in Scottsdale, we just had to go. The book he co-authored, The China Study changed our lifestyle and our health almost 10 years ago. We wanted to meet him in person and hear him speak and when my wife called Nourish to book our seats, that’s when Kathy met Kirsten, the owner. We involve our daughter Sofia who is 7 years old in everything we do, we wanted her to come with us. Most 7 year olds wouldn’t be interested in going to this type of event, let alone sitting still for an hour, Sofia is a pro. When Kathy explained to Kirsten that our daughter was raised on a plant based diet, she actually was excited to meet her and offered Sofia a seat for free. Kathy and I just thought was so generous of Kirsten being that it was a “sold out” event and would be standing room only.

Of All Restaurants In Scottsdale This One Truly Offers A “Nourished Kitchen”!

I don’t know too many restaurants in Scottsdale that would offer this type of event with the caliber of T. Colin Campbell as their featured speaker. Nourish practices what it preaches! When Kathy, Sofia and myself attended that event, we got to sample all the amazing creations of executive Chef Dan Santos from a truly “nourished kitchen”. All I can say is WOW! We were blown away as our taste buds were tap dancing!! We also got to spend time with Kirsten and Dan after the event and I knew I had to come back and do an interview with them and spread the word on this wonderful establishment lead by these incredible people.

Well, that’s what I did. I recently went back to Nourish and interviewed Kirsten Carey, the owner and Dan Santos her executive chef. Here is that interview. I think you will see why I believe of all the restaurants on Scottsdale, Nourish is the best!

Kathy and I don’t frequent many restaurants in Scottsdale and it’s not because they don’t make food that tastes good, that’s not it. It’s because we don’t know what’s in the food or just the opposite, we knew exactly what the food consists of so we stay away. We eat at home mostly because we are in control. Now, just to be clear, what I’m not saying is that restaurants in Scottsdale are purposely producing non nutritious food. It just the fact that I know Nourish goes the extra mile and does all the right things to make sure it’s customers enjoy the ultimate dining experience, great environment, great staff, fantastic taste and superior nutrition!
