15 Kids Die of H3N2 Flu

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is now calling this season’s flu an ‘epidemic’ after at least 15 children have died from the illness claiming an, “unusually potent strain of the flu virus in Minnesota”. where at least seven more childen are being treated for flu in intensive care units at Children’s Hospital in St. Paul. 

This year’s virus, called H3N2, can enter into the bloodstream and eventually make its way into the brain according to the CDC. On Good Morning America, ABC News Chief Health and Medical Editor Dr. Richard Besser said, in an average year, 100 children die of flu.

Every news story covering seasonal flu is still encouraging getting a flu-shot however, the current vaccinnes do not treat the current virus so what would be the point in getting the vacciine and why are medical professionals, the United States Govt. and the CDC pushing citizens to get it when they know it doesn’t work?
