The amount of chemicals and toxins in our food supply continues to grow with no end in site. It’s infuriating and frustrating if you pay attention to this subject and it seems more and more people are waking up to this, it’s time for change!

Your choices are, take the food with chemical additives or the food without chemical additives, pesticides, insecticides, which will you go choose? That what is has come down to and we need to draw a line in the sand and not cross it! No garbage in our food!

So, how do we change the garbage that’s being added to our food, STOP BUYING IT! Support locals farmers, go to farmer’s markets, learn to grow your own food. There are many ways to reverse the food trends in our country! Pick one that you can work with and stick to it. If people were to stop buying these substitutes for real food, manufacturers would be forced to comply or go out of business. Either one, is good with me!

We are moving in the wrong direction using food additives, pesticides and other substances

Yeah, nothing to worry about here in this image, right? Man in a hazmat suit with gloves spraying vegetables, see anything wrong here. If what he was spraying was harmless, then why all the gear? I mean, come on, use common sense. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it’s a DUCK!! Ladies and gentlemen, this is POISON they are spraying on our food! Stop this conventional garbage and buy real food from your local farmer who does it the right way. We need to reverse our current food trends!

Perhaps the most substantial and real differences between organic food and conventionally grown food lies in the various substances used in non-organic food production that are not in organics. Under the National Organic Program, the use of certain modification methods, pesticides and other synthetic substances on plants, as well as the use of food additives, fortifiers and substances that may be used as processing aids in organic products, are strictly limited to legislation-identified methods, substances and uses (see exceptions here: Substances and methods list).

Additionally, animals that produce organic products such as eggs, cheese, meats, etc., are raised on organic feeds without the use of antibiotics, growth-hormones and other various artificial substances and modification methods. In the end,  what all of these things mean, in theory, are that organic products have, if any, far fewer artificial ingredients (i.e.., preservatives and pesticide and/or antibiotic residues, etc.) than their non-organic conventional counterparts.

Future Culinary Trends I Believe Will Show A Move Towards Growing Our Own Food

So, again your choice is simple based on our current food trends. Choose the conventionally sprayed food in the above image or the organic non-chemically sprayed food grown by a trusted local farmer (shown here) who doesn’t have to wear a hazmat suit while tending to his “real food”. If we all start making the wiser choice, we can put these food suppliers who give us toxic food, out of business once and for all!
