There are many different conditions that contribute towards a deterioration in vision some of which include myopia (short-sightedness), hyperopia (long-sightedness), astigmatism, cataract and keratoconus. While these are debilitating in their consequences, at the same time they can also be corrected via surgery. However, you are advised to seek professional guidance in this regard as not everyone is considered a suitable candidate due to the invasive nature of these procedures.
