If you are getting overwhelmed by the mountain of debts that you have acquired, it is advised that you fist consider exhausting your resources before you go for the last resort. You need to remember that there is always the choice to file for bankruptcy. But you need to consider this as your final resort. If you can help it, you would prefer if you can avoid filing for it.

It is important to note that filing for bankruptcy is not always easy, the process is long and you will need to secure the necessary figures that you will need to pay for the proceeding. So, it helps a lot that you will be able to successfully use all the cards that you have left before you will decide to declare that you have gone bankrupt. Besides, this can affect your credit score immensely so you want to avoid it as much as you can.

Always make sure that you will verify the debts first. You need to make sure that all these debts are actually valid and that you did owe them. You need to know who you owe these debts to and how much it is that you need to pay you to want to find out how much you have paid so far and how much are the remaining numbers that you are expected to pay as well.

It might help to contact an agency for credit counseling, you will be able to get a better idea of how you are supposed to handle your debt and how you can pay them back with the help of these counselors. They should be able to help offer you advise on how to deal with the payment of the debt so you will be able to get it covered and paid off in terms that would be easier and more convenient for you.

This article is greatly debatable but it sounds very nice and comforting, lol. I must say that I respectfully disagree with the author. Perhaps I am not qualified like my husband is to talk about bankruptcy. He is indeed a well seasoned not rich but excellent bankruptcy attorney. He worked for the IRS and the Justice Department. We are poor because he’s one of the most honest people I know and I’m so proud of him! This is what I have learned listening to him counseling his clients over the years: Bankruptcy was created by the elite corporations so they can easely get out of their debt responsibilities and they frequently get the protection under federal courts. They demonized the process for the rest of the general public in the media, because they are creditors who want you to pay your debt. The disinformation propaganda has brainwashed and terrified people over the years to feel terror when they hear the buggy-man word Bankruptcy. Please keep in mind that the Financial Credit Counseling agencies were created by the banks to “help” you pay at least part of your debts that would otherwise be forgiven under the bankruptcy protection of the federal courts. You don’t have to take my word for it, just follow the nonprofit money trail in relation to funding of these consumer counseling agencies. Of course the banks have the right to collect my their debt. However, with the current economic collapse caused by them, it is only fair that there should indeed have sane information and disclosure regarding bankruptcy. If your finances have reached that level, bankruptcy is a clean slate and a fresh start. Each bankruptcy case is different. You can even do it yourself and the bankruptcy court will waive the fee if you are poor. An attorney is recommended of course as the paperwork and process, specially in chapter 13 cases that can get complicated. Many of my husband’s clients now have better credit than us😀👍🏼. At this point in time when suicidal stats are so high, consumers should be very aware of their financial options when they have reached a financial crisis and feel trapped in an unfair monetary nightmare system. Sorry if There are errors in my writing but after surviving a stroke, I thought that writing would be a good exercise for my slow brain and at the same time I though I could shed some hope and a bit of light in the dark ages of disinformation we live in. Thanks much.
