Original STD Registry Rumored to Be Making a Comeback

The orginal online STD Registry is rumored to be making a comeback in the near future. STDCarriers.com operated from late to 2008 until the summer of 2012 when the owner was arrested and sent to prison as the result of a conspiracy between members of Congress, the FBI, a daranged stalker, and possibly even Anderson Cooper as well as internet lawyer Parry Aftab. 

The owner of STDCarriers.com was a guest on Anderson Cooper’s daytime talk show where Cooper slammed him and fellow guest Parry Aftab told him to “get a good lawyer” backstage after the show. Cooper said himself that he was “a little rude” and in another segment Ashleigh Banfield said that she did not think that the website would be legal for long. A couple months later Congressman Joseph Crowley went on Martin Bashir Live to announce that he was asking the Justice Department to look into prosecuting the owner of the website for anything illegal. Congresswoman Judy Chu Tweeted that she would do the same.

Less than a month later the owner of STDCarriers.com was arrested for sending a threatening email to a woman whose STD report he refused to remove. Even though that woman had phoned in a bogus hostage situation to 911 targeting a relative’s home and had sent him threats, the Portland Police said they would be throwing the book at him. The FBI got involved and prosecuted him federally. He was ordered as a condition of supervised release not to use computers, he appealed it, the Ninth Circuit denied it, and eventually he could use computers but could not run any of his old websites. His prosecution was for the primary purpose of circumventing the First Amendment. He would have been back in business after five years but took more than seven due to subsequent convictions for assaulting government employees and violating his release conditions. 

Scheduled to get off supervision in less than one week he appears to have posted announcements indicating that three of his former websites will be coming back online sometime next month. Those announcements were posted on the Facebook pages for STDCarriers.com, CyberBullyingReport.com, and NoLimitList.com.
