AstraZeneca Vaccine Linked to Blood Clots: Report Claims

On Friday (March 19) news about a forthcoming report linking the AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine to autoimmune reactions was leaked, that it can cause deadly blood clots in rare instances.

A team of researchers from Norway and Germany has found that the vaccine could trigger an autoimmune reaction causing blood to clot in the brain, The Wall Street Journal is reporting. And that the research done by the scientists could lead to a possible treatment to prevent the problem. The studies about the findings have not been published yet or peer reviewed, said the the report.

Some of the symptoms of blood clotting includes dizziness and blurred vision appearing several days after the vaccine jab is administered. The condition, said doctors, can be detected by a simple blood test and easily treated in a hospital, the report noted. And that the condition affects women far more than men who have gotten the jab.

Several EU states have suspended the AstraZeneca vaccine over blood-clotting concerns.
