EMF/RF/5G Thanksgiving; Addressing Past Colonization, Our Militarized Present, and the Future Underwater Internet of Things, Part 1 of 3

Manifest Destiny

The dictionary defines Manifest Destiny as “the 19th-century doctrine or belief that the expansion of the US throughout the American continents was both justified and inevitable.”

We are still in the midst of a long-running, historical chapter of Manifest Destiny, Entitlement, Colonialism, Climate Terror, Extreme Weather, Exploitation, Abuse of Indigenous Rights, and War, that began in this country in the 1600s.

In particular, this applies to land occupied by the U.S. military.

Wireless Infrastructure to the Rescue!

The story of entitlement now features the Digital Dog and Pony Show, the Moon, the oceans, and a heavily promoted plan to colonize Mars.

Scanning news reports about infrastructure bills, it appears that the provision of digital rights, wirelessly, is one of the most important political and economic responses to all current societal challenges, including the ability to make a cellphone call underwater.

Seriously.

The Taking of the Commons Including Space for Telecommunications (and, War)

The rapid densification of antennas and towers on land, and the launching of thousands of satellites into space, fueled by exploitation of resources and pollution, is required to support the burgeoning 5G IOT warfare network.

As Kate Kheel explained, “Russia and China [] take a more measured approach viewing space as a Global Commons. In April 2021, both Russia and China called for negotiations to establish internationally agreed upon regulations for space. In a recent video address on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin’s flight into space, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated, “We consistently maintain that guaranteed prevention of an arms race in outer space is crucial to its use for constructive purposes, for the benefit of all humankind. We support the launch of negotiations on the development of an international legally binding instrument prohibiting the deployment of any type of weapon there and the use or threat of force.”

Who Owns the Global Commons of the Atmosphere? The U.S. Military?

The Prevention of Arms Race in Outer Space (PAROS) treaty attempts to expand on the 1967 OST by calling for a ban on all weapons in space. For decades, Russia, China, Canada and nearly all other nations have supported the PAROS treaty, but the United States and Israel have repeatedly opposed its passage. Paul Meyers has chronicled the history of treaties and other initiatives on the shared and peaceful use of outer space.

Who Monitors the Environmental Impact on the Global Commons?

There has been little to no consideration of chronic, cumulative, juxtaposed effects on nature, the biosphere, or human health in developing the wireless “ecosystem,” a term that never should have been repurposed with such blatant disregard for the Rights of Nature.

This lack of depth analysis is similar to errors that prevail regarding chemicals. Humanity still has not successfully addressed or resolved decades of greed and manipulation of science by industry and financial interests.

Now, the commoditization of the electromagnetic spectrum is running wild.

We have to learn to question this, now, because the planet’s Oceans are on the verge of being Smart-ified by the manufactured demand for an Internet of Underwater Things.

This will, most likely, take the planet beyond its ability to regenerate, along with many species.And, possibly will impact everyone who does not have space reserved on one of those private billionaire-owned rockets.

China and Russia and UFOs Oh My

On both the political right and left in the United States, implications about looming threats from China (and/or Russia), as well as quieter rumblings about UFOs, are fueling narratives and the demand for defense and  military might.

For example, consider the new warship developed by the United States, the “USS Gerald R. Ford – The Largest Warship Ever Built, ” while Puerto Rico still suffers 4 years after Hurricane Maria’s devastation of its electric grid.

“Even with its shortcomings it was a huge leap for military technology over the last 40 years.”

UAV – Unmanned Autonomous Vehicles and Automated Decision Making

“Now imagine how catastrophic 200 smart bomb carrying planes in a day would be to an enemy.”

“Its power might be especially needed for directed energy weapons like futuristic lasers.”

“The aircraft’s nuclear reactors could power several countries Monaco, Lichtenstein, Andora, and San Marino, at the same time, for a year.”

As reported by military-wiki.com,

“The US Navy began design work on the Ford in the early 2000s, the era of then-Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld’s “revolution in military affairs.” Construction work began on USS Ford in 2005 for a planned 2015 delivery. However, the delivery schedule gradually slipped to 2017, and costs ballooned 20 percent to $12.9 billion – more than any nation has ever paid for a warship.

$ 4.7 billion was spent on research and development. This ship uses nuclear power, can operate continuously without stopping, under all weather conditions at sea. [ ] Issues included “problems with her catapult, arresting gear and elevators. Multiple additional issues with propulsion were discovered in sea trials, necessitating long post-shakedown repairs.  Many of these issues have since been resolved, the Navy says, but with the extended timeline for repairs and testing, the Navy expects that USS Ford will not enter service until 2024 – six years behind schedule and almost two decades after the first construction began.”- Dung Tran, Military-wiki.com

Taking of Land: Raiding Guam, Again

Ruthless expansionism, and the taking of land, that characterized the experience of the indigenous communities of North America, endures today.

Consider the US territory of Guam.

Guam bears the distinction of having the longest history of exploitation and colonization on Earth.

It is now being actively razed by the U.S. military, to support Pacific “war games.”

Guam is but one of the colonized militarized regions dominated by the U.S.  In July, Matt Mckenna wrote about U.S. military for Covert Action.

“The United States’s annual near $800 billion military budget is more than the next 10 nations’ military spending combined. The next highest funded armed forces, China’s, spends less than one-third of what the U.S. does.”

“Comparing the U.S. military budget to other supposed rivals becomes almost comical, with Russia spending just over $60 billion, Iran spending $15 billion, and North Korea’s budget remaining lower than that of the New York City police department at $4 billion. Further illustrating this asymmetric power in the globe are the 800 foreign military bases possessed by the U.S. compared to a combined 70 possessed by the rest of the world’s nations.”

The US is in pursuit of Full-Spectrum Dominance, currently focused on China.

Koohan Paik- Mander of the Global Network Against Weapons and Nuclear Power in Space wrote,

“The goal [ ] is to give the United States and its allies the ability to summon, at once, unmanned military forces to rain terror down on any spot in the world—a swarm of drones, hypersonic missiles, submarine torpedoes, and bombers—all with the ease of calling an Uber.”

“[ ]…even more expansive swaths of the ocean are being set aside for year-round military exercises. The most egregious example is the MITT (Mariana Islands Training and Testing), a plan to transform over a million square miles of biodiverse ecosystems into the largest-ever range complex for bombing and firing practice. The impacted area would be larger than the states of Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, Montana, and New Mexico combined.”

Guam, Occupied, Now

On October 24, 2021 Julian Aguon, a writer, lawyer, and activist from Guam, delivered the 41st Annual E. F. Schumacher Lecture, “Felled by Beauty: Guam and the End of American Empire.” (43 minutes, Julian speaks at 7:30)

If you are not aware of what the US did following previous wars, with ships that were contaminated by radio-active materials, have a listen, for those who wish to understand the costs of outsourcing war, and especially for those who would like to do something about it.

The people of Guam have already seen a carbon capture redline forest destroyed to build a live ammunition firing range over the island’s drinking water aquifer. Coral reefs have been dredged. Whales and dolphins will be maimed and killed.

Signing the petition informs the people of Guam that those of us residing elsewhere recognize what is occurring in U.S. military occupied training areas on the other side of planet.

At the same time, Americans are being gas-lighted into believing that policy decisions about smart meters, time of use billing, smart grids and industrialized “clean energy” are needed because the country is focused on protecting against “climate concerns.” (See Bright Green Lies)

Many of the people of the world want peace…. and do not support the colonial, militarized reach of the United States or the co-opting of the environmental movement.   They do not support the mistreatment of indigenous peoples, anywhere on the planet. And they do not support 5G.
