Taiwan suspends 2nd doses of Pfizer for teens over heart inflammation health risk

BATTLEFORWORLD.COM | November 12, 2021: Health authorities in Taiwan have suspended the use of the second dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID jab for children between the age of 12 and 17, because of concerns regarding increased risk of heart inflammation – increasing the risk of myocarditis, which causes inflammation of the heart muscle, and pericarditis, causing inflammation of the heart’s outer lining.

The advisory to halt was due to experts from the country’s Centers for Disease Control who are in the process of examining 16 reported cases of myocarditis among Taiwanese teens who received the Pfizer jab. And noted that there will be no more vaccination for children under 11 years old until issues regarding the a second dose to adolescents are fully investigated, which will also include international data. The country’s Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) head Chen Shih-chung also noted that Hong Kong and the UK are the only ones not vaccinating children between the ages of 12 and 17 with double doses.

While in the United States, the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) is reporting cases of myocarditis among recipients who have received the mRNA COVID jab, such as Pfizer’s and the condition is showing up, “especially in male adolescents and young adults”, to occur “more often after the second dose”. …
