Bioidentical Hormone Pellets Now Available at MomDoc Mesa Office

The offices of Drs. Goodman & Partridge, OB/GYN, also known as MomDoc, are providers of obstetric and gynecological care to women throughout the Phoenix, Arizona area. One of their office, located in Mesa, Arizona, has introduced bioidentical hormone pellets to their line of patient services. Hormone pellets were first FDA-approved in the 1970s. They are used to release hormones in the body, if the patient requires it. MomDoc has introduced these hormone pellets for menopausal patients. This is what Terri Larkin, WHCNP of the MomDoc Mesa office has to say about the process:

“The process starts with a lab work up to see where patients are with their hormone levels. The actual pellet placement only takes minutes to perform, and the area is numbed with lidocaine prior to placement making for minimal discomfort. Levels are then monitored at 3 month intervals until stabilized. Pellets can last anywhere from 4-5 months depending on the individual’s metabolism. Pellets come in both estradiol and testosterone, which can help relieve menopausal symptoms including hot flashes, insomnia, moodiness, vaginal dryness, decreased libido, and fatigue.”
