But #14 on the list is broadest of all: “You experienced another hardship in obtaining health insurance.” The document asks you to provide documentation “if possible.”
This could be Obamacare’s death knell. The law’s entire scheme was set up to cover elderly citizens’ expensive medical bills by forcing all younger, healthy people into higher priced plans than they would have paid in the past. Providing a blanket hardship exemption will allow most of these healthy people to opt out of this corrupt, unaffordable system.
Obama’s concession in this fundamental part of his “signature law” can only mean one thing: Democrats are terrified of popular outrage over Obamacare. They’re scared of how it will play out in the 2014 elections, and beyond. This is a major damage control effort… but it will likely be too little, too late.
