The Struggles with VA Pensions & Healthcare providers:

I‘m a Disabled War Veteran from; The Libyan Conflict 1986. While, going to physical therapy one day back in 2009. I decided to get help for my Military Disabilities. 

              {Little did I know, the “War of Zion” was ready to start again!}

        In August of 2010, I drove to the VA in search for a Veteran Representative  and chose Edward Hawthorn, of the American Legion. He seemed nice enough? I then started to watch months go by, then years? I call Edward, he answered the phone. I told Edward Hawthorn, I never got so much as, an Appointment from the VA from him. I asked why? He couldn’t give me an answer? I fired him on the spot and the American Legion. 

       I Surfed on the internet for an Attorney and found one in West Virgina? I figured, I would have good-luck from West Virgina because they turned the decision around for me, at Oakland, Ca. Regional Office, who denied me benefits in 2003…

        Attorney; Jan Dil’s in West Virgina – I read her web-page and she says (“She has one goal in mind and that’s making a difference & helping people.”) Jan Dils says, “to be honest, in the legal profession, It’s hard to find people who have her kind of mix.”  Jan, will tell you! “she’s found then, and she couldn’t be any happier with the team she’s assembled for her (law firm) serving her clients!”  Just ready to go get them, at the VA, left Eddie, flabbergasted.    

        It soon became months and then turned to years? Yep, sure enough, I was thrown yet another curve-ball. This time by an attorney in West Virgina.  I receive a letter dated: January 7th 2015 the Attorney Jan Dils will be withdrawing my case with the VA? The Attorney’s office said” they regretfully inform me, and that the law firm doesn’t believe they can successfully represent me? At this point, I’m without words.  Jan Dils office says; “please understand this is strictly their legal opinion and I am encouraged by, Jan Dils office, “to pursue my benefits from the VA.“

      For a Disabled War Veteran such as myself, who has been through rating decisions from the VA for the past 27 years mostly denied.  Attorney Jan Dils office hits me pretty hard, My wife says to me, that’s not right? I told my wife, it doesn’t matter because it’s over. I’m done with this claim…

     I let the VA case go for several days, I found a new law firm and I am happy with their letters they send, examinations, I have because of them. I’m willing to give America, yet another chance with me.                  

                                I am pleased with my new law firm, happy – of their support.

     I’m a Navy veteran who was discharged Honorably, I’m proud of that, that in itself is, an accomplishment.  I was discharged with a {traumatic ear injury, a right-foot surgery and ACL- ligament repair.} Over the 27 years, now with great representation, I have hope. I’ve had 3 exams contracted by the VA for evaluations. The VA says, to me from their letters they want to be fair so, I get encouraged to their kindly gesture… But after the exams, the time went from weeks to now a month and months are around the corner, My doctor said at what point is, being patience’s excuse beginning to be a little to much? Great question… I am worried, I maybe back tracking once again? The PTSD which sets in from one of the approved exams puts me into a (depression spell)  now I just got put on High Blood Pressure medicine now my body is maxed for meds., I’m struggling with this case again. I get one letter dated: April 20th, 2015 from the VA were still working on you case for compensation well be letting you know when were done. Then a second letter comes now its dated: June 17th, 2015 same message…

       In the mean-time: I’m seeing doctors for my service-connect disabilities. I had a {Right-Leg surgery for a torn meniscus, My Doctor says, “to me, your body is generating new tissue in your leg and foot that’s why, I’m having pain and leg twitching. Yep my right-leg, just moves on it’s own now?  Originally, Dr. Bales M.D. did this surgery almost exactly 2 years ago. Also the doctor  Bales M.D. told me, “he was shaving some cartilage and boring-out some Arthritis to my Right-Leg.”} The surgery was done by; Peter Bales M.D. this was done in August 2013.  During the recovery efforts of the right-leg surgery, my left-leg started hurting all the time along with the right-leg as, it was trying to recover.

     In 2014 – Dr. Ooi had me, wear a (knee – Immobilizer for 6 weeks.) My Family doctor; Dr. Kio Ooi M.D. of Rocklin, Family Sports and Medicine, he decides to treat both legs because the right-leg was still hurting and so is the left-leg now. Dr. Ooi decides to do a mild surgical procedure called, “Supartz Injections” to the left-leg first in March 2014. After the left-leg was done Dr. Ooi does the right-leg in April, 2014.  My legs still were hurting me, it was about a month later after the injections, my legs started to hurt again. Dr. Ooi tells me that, I likely have a medial meniscus tear. the left-leg likely wearing out by over compensation on the left-side from my right-leg surgery.

      Now, Dr. Kio Ooi, wants to get MRI’s done on the {right and left knee.} Dr. Ooi sends me to RAS-Radiological Associates of Sacramento. The building is in {Roseville Imaging Center.}

      I go to my next appointment at Dr. Ooi office, and now because of the way the ex-rays were read by; Dr. Christopher K. Hoffman M.D.  My doctor is second guessing the injuries I have.  Dr. Ooi says, Eddie, the ex-rays aren’t showing a torn meniscus in your left-knee? I told Dr. Ooi, no I believe you were right when you tested for the torn meniscus the first time, an that there is a tear in the left-leg. Dr. Ooi is not convinced now and says he’s sticking with the MRI report. I told Dr. Ooi the report must be wrong? Dr. Ooi says no.  So, Dr. Ooi goes by, Dr. Hoffman M.D. MRI report which over the next several months changes our relationship all for the worst… 

      It seemed strange to me how, someone can interfered with our findings meaning the Dr. Ooi’s Positive McMurrarys Test for a torn meniscus and the way I felt because it just added up.  I just had a right-leg surgery and the pain seems similar and in the same area as the right-leg but not as bad? Now my Dr. is going off Dr. Christopher K. Hoffman’s Report. who has 3 Google + accounts on the internet with no followers and no reviews along with no (+s) by his patience for service rendered to them? Something strange is going on here?  

                                                                          I smell a rat…

     On Dr. Christopher K. Hoffman report;  about my left-leg, he says in short sentence structure no torn medial meniscus. Whaaat!!! Then this Dr. Hoffman bottom-lines his report meaning the last thing said, {no ligament, tendon, or meniscal tear…?} Now, this seed is planted by: Dr. Christopher K. Hoffman M.D. into my Doctor.  In November 2014, I get a strange call from my doctors office, Dr. Ooi needs to set an appointment with me and he needs to, see me today (per-his secretary.)  Dr. Ooi comes in a bit of a panic mode and says, I needed to go to his {Pain Management} that was approved by the insurance, my wife and I couldn’t afford the gas to get there, it was simply to far, 40 miles round trip. I could not negotiate that drive to U.C.Davis. Dr. Ooi said, Well then Eddie, I’m not charging you for this visit and that I and my family won’t be seen anymore at Dr. Harris office, which is, Rocklin Family Sports and Medicine? I just looked at Dr. Ooi and said WOW! 

 I felt like a North Korean prisoner in my own country. I couldn’t believe this was happening, I served this country to protect these ((kind of values)) and behaviors that I’m witnessing in the business world here in America. I will have shame the rest of my life knowing, I protected these kind of people & freedoms in my home country….

     That was really messed-up because now my son and wife will have to find a new doctor and my son has Autism and my wife needs her -heart medicine.  All this started from: Dr. Christopher K. Hoffman’s report. A Doctor from Mt. Zion Medical in San Francisco, Ca. MT. ZION Medical claims to have Traditional Excellence & Service their for the {“Needy, Distressed and Sick.} Well, not hardly in my case. Also Mt. Zion claims to re-frame from Prejudice…. This is the kind of Medical place of business that Dr. Christopher K. Hoffman M.D.trained at…

     Apparently, Dr. Christopher K. Hoffman M.D.in my eyes was (medically-negligence) on his report according to Carmichael, Ca. Sutter Imaging – Dr. Albert Schraner M.D. who comes up with an entirety different reading on the MRI all together.

     Dr. Schraner M.D.  says, (left-knee) probable complex tear posterior horn on the medial meniscus.

      (right-knee) — with Extensive lateral meniscal tear with adjacent moderate chondromalacia

       **This is my life, you diagnosed wrong, Dr. Hoffman, why was your report so inaccurate, this is my question.**

      I’m also mad at,  Dr. Peter Bales M. D. I wanted to sue him, for not fixing my (Right-Leg) it even shows on my new MRI Report: Extensive tear on the Lateral Meniscus it’s supposed to be fixed  or better not smaller and worse, Dr. Bales…. Then he send me a letter February 2014, saying your closing-up shop and leaving the state while, I’m still healing? WHAAAT!

        If any people have been seen by, these doctors get help fast!  With the exception of Dr. Schraner M.D. he’s a good doctor.
