It’s a shame that people have to live in these conditions. However, we can’t open our borders to everyone. Compassion is a powerful tool, but common sense even more so. The idea of open borders is ridiculous. The same ones complaining that “America was never great” seem to fail to understand that their policies that make America more “accepting” only decrease the strength of our nation as a whole. Facts, not feelings, should fuel your political ideologies.

Mexican speaking here. I have been following the caravan story from several mexican new station sources. Also from friends and family from Mexico. It is true is well organized. Mexican citizens are enraged at the government for providing them help when there is a lot of need and improvement to be done and they are spending on immigrants. It is obvious that someone else is also helping, a bigger person/or organization we don’t know of. Also, mexicans citizens have also helped since they are compassionate however they have been disappointed at their lack of manners, education and behavior. There are numerous videos of the caravan leaving behind donations on the floor because the clothing or shoes were not a certain brand. They waste food donations because they are tired of eating the “same thing”. They leave trash everywhere. They are unthankful and demanding. Even when the mexican government gave them cards with credit to use, they wasted food donations to buy food that they crave. At some point in Mexico they stopped the traffic on a road and started climbing the semi trucks expecting to be transported, to which the drivers were obligated to comply. Now, granted I don’t doubt there are some good people who have really showed gratitude and manners, however the majority expect to be helped and receive free stuff just because they think they deserve it for just for being breathing beings.
