CHILPANCINGO, Gro. (apro) .- The town of Eduardo Neri’s PRD mayor, Pablo Higuera, brother in law ofAbel Lucena, accused state police of raiding a home and abducting Lucena in the town of Zumpango, in the Central region of the entity.
In response, the head of the State Public Security Secretariat (SSP), David Portillo Menchaca, who was asked to file the formal complaint with ministerial authorities, and announced that the Internal Comptroller’s Office has already opened an investigation against the uniformed parties involved in the incident.
The dawn of August 31, through the Special Forces Unit (UFE), the SSP conducted an operation in the town of Zumpango, located 10 kilometers from the capital, without so far the authorities have reported on that event.
However, yesterday a video was broadcast on social networks where two official patrols and at least six state police officers entering a home are observed.
The images reveal the moment when at least three uniformed men enter the house of a large gate and fence. Then, a man gagged in the face appears on the scene, subdued by other state police.
The detainee is transferred from the property and then police leaves the place in the same way..
The man was identified as Abel Lucena, brother-in-law of the current mayor of Eduardo Neri, who to date is missing,
Before the accusation of forced disappearance and search of residence against state agents, the SSP issued a statement admitting the police action.
“In the SSP we have knowledge of the video that circulates in social networks in which elements of the UFE appear. We invite those affected to submit their complaint to the Internal Comptroller’s Office that already investigates what happened, ”said the head of the state agency, David Portillo, who in 2014 served as head of the Federal Police in Guerrero, when on the 26 and 27 of September, 43 normalistas of the Normal Rural de Ayotzinapa disappeared.
