The governor of Tamaulipas, Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca, asked the State Prosecutor to support the FBI and other international agencies to clarify the alleged extrajudicial execution in Nuevo Laredo
Through his Twitter account, the governor of the state of Tamaulipas, Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca, asked the State Prosecutor to support the FBI and other international agencies to clarify the alleged extrajudicial execution of eight people which are blamed on state police, which occurred on September 5 in Nuevo Laredo.
“My commitment is indeclinable with the law and Human Rights. Since the denunciation of the facts in Nuevo Laredo was released, the State Prosecutor’s Office, in exercise of its autonomy, officially opened an investigation folder, ” the governor wrote on the social network.
“I have suggested to the Prosecutor to request technical assistance from the FBI and other international agencies, to give greater strength and transparency to the investigations, ” Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca , president of this border state with Texas and wrote in his official Twitter account. for the violence linked to organized crime and the infiltration of cartels throughout public life.

In his second message, he assured that he made the proposal to the Prosecutor’s Office to support the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI and other international agencies) to give it greater strength and transparency in the investigations.
He noted that they will comply with the precautionary measures issued by the CNDH and warned that if the investigations conclude in the responsibility of state officials, they will act with the full weight of the law.
The statements are in response to the report that the Secretary of Public Security released this morning in which he reveals that the state agents have been relieved of duty, ie those who are accused by the Human Rights Commission of Nuevo Laredo, of having committed an extrajudicial execution with intent of eight people.

The Human Rights Committee of Nuevo Laredo, a local activist group, presented this week videos, photos and testimonies that indicated that five men and three women were executed on September 5 after being taken from their homes and taken to the residence of a former employee of a refreshment company, one of the victims.

According to the testimonies of this man’s daughter collected by the NGO, more than 20 special agents raided the house, forced the man to put on a military uniform, boots and helmet, handcuffed him and put him in a room where he was later executed. The daughter with another girl managed to flee.

On Wednesday, both the state prosecutor’s office and the National Human Rights Commission opened investigations, although the prosecution insisted that, according to their initial data, it was a confrontation between state police and “armed civilians.”

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said Thursday that events like that would not be tolerated.

“Executions are not allowed, grace shots are not allowed , to finish off wounded, no massacres, no one , no human being,” he said. “That is not going to be tolerated. The corresponding agencies will investigate freely and if there were excesses, it must be punished with all rigor ”.

In the past, there have been several cases both extrajudicial executions and the staging and manipulation of a crime scene by police, military or officials.

Nuevo Laredo , where one of the most important border crossings in trade with the United States is located. And since July it is also one of the destinations chosen by the United States for asylum seekers to await the resolution of their process in that country.

On September 5 of this year, in the Valles de Anahuac neighborhood, there was an alleged confrontation between state agents and armed civilians dressed in cloned militia uniforms.
With alleged witnesses and videos, the defenders seek to refute the authorities, so they gave part to the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH), who in turn sent the precautionary measures to SEDENA and the Government Secretariat.
