Alvarado, Veracruz: Clandestine Mass Graves Found

A new area where clandestine graves are found was discovered in the community of “La Puquita” in this town, near Arbolillo, another place where human remains have been found.

According to Lucía de los Ángeles Díaz Genao, spokeswoman for the Solecito Collective. She lamented that the state “is the scene of the macabre, it’s a scene totally out of a horror movie, no one can imagine the magnitude of people secretly buried here within so many graves.  

There are at least 5 visible areas marked with red flags where the State Search Commissioner, Brenda Cerón, confirmed positive human remains.

 “A potential positive was found. And notice was given to the State Attorney General’s Office, Forensic Services so that an investigative folder could be opened. To have a better understanding of what has transpired. And initiate a plan in this region. We noticed anomalies around this area. So, it’s safe to assume that there may be more findings in these sectors, “he said.

The site where the graves were found is difficult to access. You need to travel by boat to get there.
