The Irony of the Statue of Liberty Inviting Endless Immigration Into America

In 1885, the French presented the Statue of Liberty to the United States as a gift to celebrate our “liberty and freedom” that we gained from separating from Great Britain and the “Divine Right of Kings” balderdash! Of course, now we have Prince Harry taking up residence in America.

Thirty years later, Lazarus stapled a poem to the bottom of the statue that had nothing to do with freedom or liberty.

“Give me your tired, your poor,

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,

I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

With an already overpopulated USA, we need to close that door!

At 330 million people in 2021, we can no longer continue to absorb millions upon millions of desperate people from around the globe. Those countries add 83 million, net gain, new babies annually. That’s why they are starving, desperate and fleeing their countries. They are expected to add 2.2 billion more of themselves within 29 years to reach 10 million.

If we are to preserve our civilization, we cannot sustain the projected 100 million more added to our country by 2050. That would mean we would have to supply 300 million more meals daily. WE would have to provide 100 gallons of water daily for each of those 100 million people. That’s 10 BILLION gallons of water 24/7. We burn 20 million barrels of oil 24/7. Another 100 million people would jump that burning rate into the stratosphere. Climate change would accelerate enormously. People coming from Africa use an ecological footprint, (land used to sustain them), at .4 or 4/10ths of an acre and 5 gallons of water daily. Once they reach America, that eco-footprint jumps to 25.4 acres per person…X’s 100 million equates to 2.54 BILLION acres of wilderness that must be destroyed to support each new American. Where to the animals go? They go ‘extinct’!

We need to demand new policies if we are to survive the 21^stcentury as a sustainable civilization. We need a “US population stabilization policy…US carrying capacity policy…Us water carrying capacity…US climate change policy…US resource policy…US Quality of Life Policy…”

If we continue on this path, there will be no path for our children or anyone by 2050.
