Dadabhai Naoroji’s Poverty and Un-British Rule in India: Full text, Word version, and my comments

In some context Naoroji came up today. Last year I had started converting his book into Word but due to shortage of time was just not able to do it. I’ve still not done anything to it but for my convenience and for ease of recovery of my work on Naoroji, have decided to create this blog as a place holder for Naoroji’s work/s and my comments. This blog post will evolve over time as I’m able to spend more time on Naoroji.

The Archive.org PDF version. This is very large (16MB) and I don’t intend to create a replica on my server. Thanks to whoever digitised the hardcopy book which is very heavily cited but rarely available or read today.

My simple OCR conversion in Word. (I thought I had already uploaded on my server but can’t find it). This version is highly defective with a very large number of OCR errors, but is easily searchable. Maybe when I get access to more sophisticated OCR software, I’ll upload a better version.
