Education with values and character-building emphasized

Values Inspiration Club

Proddatur (GR-TYP-BIN): Offering the right kind of education with values and character-building is the need of society, said Mr. T Ramireddy, Retired Head Master, while delivering his message in ‘Values Inspiration Club’, launched by Vaagdevi Institute of Technology and Science (VITS) on March 24.

Speaking on the occasion, the retired Head Master opined that the real success can be achieved through the education built on moral values and it should be taught right from the childhood. He expressed concern over the decline of values in education and society. Due to technological innovations and internet, people are able to access anything they want. But, there is a growing sense of dissatisfaction that we are losing ourselves morally by running after physical pleasures and fantasies in the present society.

He stressed that as long as we run after marks and ranks, we cannot make the right use of technology for the good of society. This is the time for the government to change the policy of education from primary level to university level and formulate the best value-based policies. Even parents should demand such education for their children and make them the best citizens.

Mr. Ramireddy lauded the initiative of ‘Values Inspiration Club’ launched by VITS and hoped that it would be really an inspiration to the students and mould them into the best citizens in the country.

Later, VITS Principal Dr. N Kumara Swamy honoured the retired Head Master T Ramireddy with a memento. Faculty Member Mr. Lakshmi Kiran and Students participated in the programme.
