Disha App On Every Woman's Mobile Is A Defensive Shield: SI Siva

Bommanahal (BIN – IC): Sub-Inspector Siva said that if every woman downloads the Disha App on her smartphone, it will act as a safety net and a defensive shield. Speaking about the App, he said that we are creating a wide awareness on the use of the App, which plays a key role in the safety and protection of women. We are conducting this awareness program by going to the most populous areas in the surrounding areas of Bommanahal mandal and encouraging rural women in particular to download this App. This Disha App works with the main aim of protecting the lives of women. As part of this, every woman at risk should take advantage of the App for emergency assistance. If the emergency button is pressed, the police in the nearest area will rush to the spot to rescue them from danger and take them to a safer place, SI Siva said.

As part of this extensive drive, police personnel encouraged women, young women, students, pedestrians and motorists to download the Disha App and provided a complete understanding of how to download and use it. Head Constable Hanumant Nayak said that they would fully co-operate to get as many people to download this app as possible in this special drive, which will continue from 9 am to 5 pm on Sunday. Along with him, police personnel Nagaraj and Sridevi took part in this special drive and assisted.
