Permission Must For Conducting Ganesh Celebrations: SI Siva

Bommanahal (BIN – IC): Bommanahal SI Siva made it clear that the organizers of Ganesh festival committees must take prior permission for the Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations starting from 31 of this month. A meeting was held with the members of Vinayaka Chavithi festival committees of six villages in the mandal. They were made aware of the many guidelines that must be followed for the festival arrangements.

Speaking at the meet, the SI said that the organizers must limit festival celebrations to three days. Date of immersion and details of committee members should be informed in advance. Forced collection should be avoided. Idols made of clay should be preferred. Organizers should take precautions to avoid fire accidents due to electrical short circuit. The members of the committee should keep watch at Mandapam at night. Speakers should be used only from 7 am to 7 pm. He also said that traffic should not be disturbed at the Mandapam site. Obscene songs and dances are prohibited during the procession. The immersion should be completed at the specified time. He warned that cases will be registered if clashes are committed.

Mr. Siva conveyed Ganesh festival wishes to all the participants.
