Resolve Teachers’ Problems: MLC Raghuvarma Urges Government

Amaravati (BIN – IC): Uttarandhra Upadhyaya MLC Raghuvarma urged the government in the legislative council sessions to resolve the teacher problems immediately. On Friday in the sessions, he brought many issues related to teachers to the attention of the government. He sought immediate steps for promotions and transfers of teachers, also clarification on whether the transfer period is 5 years or 8 years. He wanted government to take steps to start junior colleges in the approved two hundred and ninety two schools and to provide promotions to that extent.
In the second phase, the government should merge the teachers working under the aided management, MLC added. SL, APGLC, PF amount should be paid immediately from the green channel of the finance department, he said. Biometric devices for facial attendance should be supplied, due to technical problems, the Facial Attendance App is not working on individual mobiles, and is consuming time for each teacher. He said that it is not appropriate to hand over those responsibilities to the headmasters after initially saying that they should only supervise nadu nedu works. He requested to reduce the pressure on the headmasters and hand over those tasks to the concerned secretariat staff. Attendant, data entry operator and junior assistants should be appointed for every high school, he added. MLC appealed to the government to stop this process as the state education officials are seeking details from the district education officials for direct transfers.
