Four Bronze Medals for Greece in London Paralympics 2012
This Monday has been an amazing day for the Greek athletes in London Paralympics 2012. Silent, modest and rather far away from the shining lights of star-athletes, two swimmers, one runner and a Boccia mix team climbed the stairs of the winners and with a bright smile gave their message and inspiration to the world: The impossible is possible if you just try!
Swimmer Aristeidis Makrodimitris won the third place in Men’s 100m Freestyle. A bronze medal was won also by the Greek Boccia team, beating Belgium, in Women’s 400m Track by Alexandra Dimoglou, while the fourth bronze went to swimmer Charalambos Taiganidis in Swimming 100m Backstroke.
Swimmer Aristeidis Makrodimitris won bronze medal in Men’s 100m Freestyle on Monday. With 2:21.4 Makrodimitris climbed at the third place and made Greece proud.
Aristeidis Makrodimitris, 21, is student at the University of Economics in Greece.
Makrodimitris will compete also on Wednesday, September 5th, 2012 in Men’s 50m Backstroke.

Greek Bocia MixTeam beat Belgium 7 -0 and it seems to have secure a Bronze Medal, while the team has a chance for a Gold medal as well.
Greek Boccia team on special chiars consists of M. Kordali, N. Pananos and G. Polychronidis.
In Athletics/Track, Alexandra Dimoglou, 30 from Kavala won a Bronze medal in Women’s 400m breaking her own atomic record with 56.91 . She will compete also in Women’s 100m on Wendesday. Go, Alexandra, Go!
At the end of the day, another Bronze Medal for Greece. The fourth of the day, the second in Swimming!
Charalambos Taiganidis, 31, won Bronze in Swimming Men’s 1oom Backstroke, with 1:01.10.
Well Done! Hopefully Greece will not forget you!
